JO House The Rooftop — Restaurant in Pietra Ligure

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional. We made a reservation the night before for dinner. When we arrived, the staff claimed our booking was for the following day — their error. No apology, no solution. We waited 15 minutes downstairs, then were taken upstairs to a beautiful terrace by the sea — or so we thought. Instead of a nice table, we were shoved into a dark corner at a high, uncomfortable table that looked like it belonged in a kindergarten. The table wasn’t even cleaned. We stood there waiting again, unsure if this was even meant for us.

But the worst part? When we finally decided to leave, clearly upset and disappointed, not a single member of staff said a word. No apology. No “sorry for the mix-up.” Nothing. This restaurant has some of the best reviews in the entire Cinque Terre/Liguria area — but our experience was a complete mess. Zero hospitality. Zero accountability....

A truly pleasant experience with an amazing view of the sea from the rooftop. The seafood was fresh and delicious, so the dinner experience was in general very good as the food was delicious and complemented by warm and welcoming and friendly service. One suggestion: please consider expanding the wine list with a wider variety and more intriguing selections. We look forward to...

Con due mie amiche stasera abbiamo degustato un aperitivo sulla splendida terrazza affacciata sul mare dal 6 piano del locale. Ma non siamo rimaste per niente soddisfatte. Pur avendo prenotato abbiamo avuto il tempo contato perché il locale è anche ristorante e quindi dopo una certa ora si deve liberare il tavolo. Comunque dopo il primo aperitivo ( servito con stuzzichini niente male) ne abbiamo ordinato un secondo e abbiamo chiesto se c'era il tempo adeguato per la ns consumazione e ci è stato detto di sì. Però non ci è stato portato il cibo che accompagnava il bere. Chieste spiegazioni ci è stato riferito che dopo le ore 20 al bere non segue più il piatto di accompagnamento. E dirlo al momento dell'ordine no?! Alla fine ci hanno portato comunque un piatto ( identico al primo) ma è stato ad ogni modo un approccio sgradevole. Peccato la terrazza e la vista meriterebbero sicuramente un ritorno ma il servizio offerto proprio no! E dire che noi non...
