Ristorante Neccio — Restaurant in Pisa

On the way to catch an afternoon flight at Pisa airport, we decided to leave earlier and stop for a Tuesday lunch at Neccio. The restaurant is relatively hidden, however curious by the website and the many reviews, we planned our route just the evening before and without placing a booking, just tried our luck with 4 people. We arrived just after noon, parked the car at 1min walk with plenty of parking spot and were greeted at the entrance of the restaurant and shown the backside and the "menu del giorno" board. We went for 2 sea menus and 2 land menus. What we really enjoyed was the simplicity and at the same time deliciousness of the dishes. We loved the spaghetti ai frutti di mare and enjoyed a good lunch at what we find a very reasonable price. We found the service quick, the bathroom clean, the inside space welcoming and the personnel very friendly with a passion for what they do. Our only regret was that the garden at the backside was not open, so now we will have to come back and try the rest of the card and this time hopefully in the garden and with some more time to enjoy. After paying far too much money for either mediocre food or non-existent portions Neccio's was a real gem to find on our last night. We all had great seafood dishes for half of the price you would pay in Rome or Sorrento and you can even get a litre carafe of wine for 10 euros, and it wasn't diagisting either. The waiter was very friendly and explained what the dishes were as the menu was all in Italian. We sat out at the back of the restaurant where it was quite hot - so don't over-dress and make sure you have applied...

La Pizzeria/Ristorante da Neccio vale sicuramente una vostra sosta! L'ambiente è estremamente gradevole e ottimamente curato, sia all'interno, dove predomina una atmosfera calda e rustica che nel bellissimo patio esterno impreziosito da siepi e lanterne appese con candele e una tettoia che ripara dell'umidità della sera e dal sole di giorno. I tavoli non sono arredati con tovagliette da pizzeria ma con tovaglie in tessuto come anche i tovaglioli, il che è segno di attenzione al cliente e volontà di investire nella propria impresa. I camerieri sono celeri, alla mano e molto cortesi e il tempo di attesa per le pietanze è inferiore alla media. Abbiamo optato per un menù da pizzeria perché eravamo usciti con quell'idea, anche se non disdegnerò di tornarci per provare il ristorante. L'antipasto toscano è ricco e gli insaccati sono di buona qualità, mancano forse quei 2 crostini in più ma è cmq soddisfacente. La pizza, di dimensioni tradizionali è buona, impasto non pesante, farcita abbondantemente e saporita al punto giusto, leggermente troppo croccante il bordo per chi ama la pizza più morbida "alla napoletana". Prezzonella media ma assolutamente onesto: antipasto, pizza, birra, acqua, caffè e limocello: 23€, per questa cifra altrove puoi mangiare male e in un posto non adeguato. Abbiamo passato 3 ore rilassanti, accompagnati da un sottofondo musicale jazz in un nell'ambiente che ha anche dei divanetti all'aperto per il dopo cena dove sedersi a fumare e digerire e magari godersi un buon amaro.
