The food here (lunch) was not amazing, but not bad, and there were some issues with the service.
You must understand that if it takes 25 minutes to serve a spritz in an empty restaurant, even after multiple reminders, there is a problem. This should never happen. You should first apologize and then tell customers if there is a problem or if there is going to be a delay, so they can first of all, be aware, and second, to maybe change their their order to something more simple that can you provide in a timely manner (like beer or soda).
You could also apologize instead of making excuses. There is no excuse for taking almost 30 minutes to make one drink in an empty restaurant.
After 25 minutes and the food already arrived (I also asked for the drink before the food), I went inside to ask (for the fourth time) and finally they explained they could not make it because “the machine” was broken (cash register maybe). I don’t know why you need a machine to make a spritz. After this poor excuse I told them I no longer wanted the drink, then, miraculously, I received the drink after two minutes. It tasted okay. Not bad. Not good. Oh well. Thank you for not charging me for it (i also did not drink it).
Now for the food. The seafood lasagna was pretty good. Tasty. 4/5 maybe.
The Cacciucco. First of all, I don’t like cacciucco but for some reason I keep ordering it, hoping to understand why it is so famous. This was better than some (slightly), but like most places around here, had only one shrimp, one squid, and one piece of octopus. Lots of mussels and clams. Fine by me but more shrimp would be nice.
I hope the restaurant learns from their mistake.
Maybe nighttime is better and they have more staff, I don’t know, but maybe avoid going here for lunch. The vibe seemed better when I walked...
A parte questi dettagli, siamo rimasti soddisfatti, ci torneremo...
