TOURIST SCAM - ARNAQUE TOURISTES TRUFFA This place was recommended on the lonely planet guide book. I ate there with my boyfriend. We had a rather pleasant night and the food was ok BUT we got scammed by the lady owner of the place for the prices of the drinks. It spoiled our pleasure. It is obvious that they have a modus operandi for this. First of all, they have a menu for food but not for the drinks so they can apply the prices they want. Second of all when we asked them for a bottle of wine, the lady came with 3 different bottles. She said one of them was 25 euros and the two others 30. We chose the one for 25 euros. Then when we asked for the bill, the lady came straightforward with the bank card reader with the final price on it with no detailed ticket. We asked for it but we paid directly in good faith. Then when came the ticket, all lines were called "ristorante" and we saw that she charged us 35 for the bottle. We told her that the price she told us was 25 and not 35 but we pretended the opposite and quickly changed the subject. Let's be clear: we are 100% positive that the price she initially told us was 25 (in italian AND in english) and the way it happened only makes us confident she did it on purpose. We probably would have paid 35 if she had said it since the beginning but this bad faith really spoiled our fun. We really felt disrespected ans scammed. So I would not recommend this restaurant. Other than that, the antipasti and primi piatti were really tasty and affordable. But the lamb was not so good and definately not worth the price. It was almost like a KFC menu... the service was efficient but not...

Speaking of quality, instrumental and experimental cuisine, it is the best restaurant in the city and in the whole area. There is maximum attention to local products, cooking techniques and food preservation. The wine list is unique and constantly renewed, experimental. They, the managers, have experience and charisma to sell. This place transmits and teaches the art without wanting to do it. Premetto che se fosse stato solo per i piatti avrei dato 4 stelle perché erano curati e molto buoni ma personalmente valuto il servizio una cosa troppo importante per dare una valutazione globale positiva. Sono andato a Pontremoli per visitare l'evento medievalis con la mia famiglia e dopo aver girato tutto il giorno abbiamo cercato un ristorante per cenare ed era quasi tutto prenotato quindi abbiamo scelto questo perché era l'unico libero. La bambina era un po' stanca e piagnucolava un po' quindi abbiamo preferito mangiare all'esterno per non disturbare (una volta seduti ha smesso). La proprietaria ci ha subito inquadrati come clienti scomodi arrivando perfino a dirmi, mentre mia moglie era al bagno, che lei non sopporta il pianto dei bambini... Non potendo andare da un altra parte ho dovuto fare buon viso a cattivo gioco... poi per tutto la cena nonostante le bimbe non hanno più fatto nessun rumore siamo stati serviti in modo scostante e superficiale. Credo che un ristoratore debba sempre essere educato ma soprattutto gentile con i clienti altrimenti cambi mestiere. A parte questo anche se fossi andato a mangiare da solo il locale viene inquadrato come di classe ma non so come... forse chi lo vede così non è mai stato in locale di alto livello e anche per questo non avrei dato cmq le 5 stelle. Non lo consiglio ad un pubblico in cerca di alta classe, ne a genitori con bambini o animali ne a chiunque piace un ristoratore...
