Trattoria Norina — Restaurant in Pontremoli

One of our favourite places in Italy.

The food is so fresh and beautiful (try the ravioli).

There was a bit of a mix up with the opening hours being incorrect in google, but even on a weekday it was thriving.

We took the google recommendation of a balcony view and it was nice.

The waitress is great. We don't speak Italian, but I think she was the best waitress we have had in Italy, including fine dining in Venice. She is kind, polite and does well understanding what people want.

Also, both the white and red wines are perfect. If we could have worked out how to ask how to buy bottles, we would be taking them...

Granted it was a busy Sunday evening due to local Medeival Festival, the staff were great, but the food disappointing. Everything is locally sourced and fresh that day. Ravioli started was lovely but they ran out of some ingredients for our mains so they were sparce. One of our group had rabbit, which was mainly bones, another the lamb, which was very poor, appeared crumbed and deep fried, with little meat. Not very suitable for non meat eaters, my main was a bowl of iceberg with some unripe tomatoes. Sorry but it was the worst food we have eaten in our multiple visits to Italy, including this...

DA EVITARE. scrivo questa recensione perché sinceramente ancora non capisco perché per un misero antipasto costituito da: un piattino di quelli piccoli di frittelline di castagne con ricotta, un piattino con due pezzi di torta alle bietole e un piattino con cinque fette di salame e tre pezzetti di formaggio, ci sono stati addebitati la bellezza di 30 EUR. Secondo loro erano due porzioni di antipasti... Non ho le foto perché il menù ci è stato detto a voce e quindi, non so perché, mi aspettavo un conto molto più basso. Comunque su altre recensioni di vede il piatto di frittelline, il piatto con i due pezzi di torta di bietole e a noi è stato portato un altro piatto col salame e formaggio. Punto. Comunque da tutte queste recensioni positive ho capito che solo noi siamo stati trattati così male... Per il resto due piatti di pasta striminziti, tagliatelle al ragù veramente scarse e i testaroli al pesto unica cosa buona di tutto il pasto ma non valgono certo i 76 euro del conto finale. Nessun caffè offerto né niente.... Da evitare i posti dove il conto non è scritto chiaramente su carta perché è una totale mancanza di trasparenza e forse...
