L' Ancora (di Marco e Gualberto) — Restaurant in Portescusi/Portoscuso

We dined here recently and couldn't have been served better. My 6 year old daughter requested gnocchi bianchi which was not on the menu. It wasn't a problem for them and gave a quick service. My wife and I ordered two different local dishes with tuna and salad. Both cooked well and topped off with the house white wine.

My only complaint was that we were too full after the meal to enjoy a good sweet dish, so we finished off the meal with an espresso.

Our second visit to L’Ancora in under a week, once for dinner and today for lunch. We have been previously, several years ago (pre-Covid) and this is still the best restaurant for seafood for miles! The menu is varied so there’s a good choice of starters and mains. The food is of very high quality, so compliments to the chef/ cooks! Every time we are so well looked after by Mirella who is attentive, knowledgable, courteous and helpful and really makes our visits to L’Ancora...

Absolutely loved this place!! We came a little late in the evening and tables in the main room were fully booked but the owner / host kindly gave us a table in the side-room and when a table came available in the main room we swapped. The place was filled with locals (we were the only ‘tourists’), which was lovely. Host was so welcoming and friendly.
