I rarely leave reviews, but this experience I had few weeks ago was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to warn others. The food was overpriced for what is essentially mediocrity on a plate. The staff’s behavior was equally disappointing and unprofessional: when we didn’t appear to “fit the image,” they were dismissive and borderline rude, only changing their attitude once it became clear that we would, in fact, pay. That kind of superficial service says more than any menu ever could. To make matters worse, the management seems incapable of accepting criticism and has a habit of responding to every bad review with toxic, petty, and often dishonest replies rather than taking feedback on board and improving. It is very childish, unprofessional, and reflects badly on the entire establishment. In short, this place is not worth your time, money, or energy—there are far better options where guests are treated with respect...

Unfortunately very slow and not professional service. Totally over evaluated food prices - quality below average. Bread was as 3 days old. PS! On the terrace there were a lot of ants around the tables! Added after the restaurant's response, where it was accused of visiting the wrong restaurant. After checking from my bill - it was the right restaurant and unfortunately, such an attitude to say it was definitely the wrong restaurant and accusing customers in their review not to give honest feedback is below every standards in that business. Teleurstellende ervaring bij Il Piccolo Bistrot – Portovenere (woensdag 23 juli)

Ik had echt zin om hier relaxed te eten, maar het viel keihard tegen. De sfeer was matig en de service nog slechter. Een vrouwelijke medewerker (jurk aan, verder amper professioneel gekleed – geen naamkaartje en ze wilde haar naam niet eens zeggen) was gewoon ronduit onbeschoft. Geen begroeting, geen service, gewoon die “wat doe jij hier?” attitude. 😒

Wat het nog erger maakte: de helft van de menukaart was niet beschikbaar. Ik wilde een mojito bestellen – staat gewoon op de kaart – hadden ze niet. Niet eens een alternatief aangeboden. 🫠

Het eten was ook niet bijzonder. Te duur voor wat je krijgt, en de presentatie was echt basic. Zelfs de wijn kwam niet op temperatuur.

Mooie locatie, maar dat is het enige positieve. Door de slechte service, onvriendelijk personeel en beperkte menukeuze is dit een dikke no-go voor mij. Er zijn zat andere spots in Portovenere waar je wél lekker en met respect geholpen wordt. ✌️

Avevo grandi aspettative per questo ristorante visto il posto, ma purtroppo è stata una delusione totale. Una cameriera (con un vestito, poco professionale, senza targhetta con il nome e si è pure rifiutata di dirlo) è stata estremamente scortese e disinteressata. Sembrava quasi infastidita dalla nostra presenza. 😒

Un’altra cosa assurda: molti piatti e bevande del menù non erano disponibili. Ho chiesto un mojito, che era scritto sulla carta, ma mi hanno detto che non ce l’avevano. Nessuna alternativa offerta. 🫠

Il cibo? Niente di speciale. Presentazione mediocre e sapori poco curati. Per i prezzi che chiedono, mi aspettavo molto di più. Anche il vino era servito tiepido. 👎

L’unica cosa positiva è la posizione. Per il resto, servizio pessimo, personale scortese e menù limitato. Non ci tornerò. A Portovenere ci sono tanti altri posti dove ti trattano bene e si mangia...
