Ristorante La Pergola — Restaurant in Procida

As soon as you arrive, you can notice the immediate perfect view of the beach and the ocean. Upon trying to sit for a table, I was greeted by the employee in the pictures wearing a red shirt who advised me that no alcoholic beverages are allowed on the restaurant, and I could not order from the bar and bring it in either. I found it strange as I saw other tables with alcoholic beverages. I asked another employee to see my party which he did and offered a full cocktail and was extremely helpful. i’m not sure why this other gentleman was so rude but I hope management sees this and addresses him. By far the best restaurant we've been to in Procida. A very lovely place for a couple or family that looks for a beautiful authentic Italian restaurant. The price is neither low nor high in an absolute sense. We found it just right for the quality. We will definitely go there when we are in Procida again.

The next day we picked up a restaurant on Procida's main picturesque street right next to the sea. Packed with tourists and the price range was just like La Pergola. But you can forget the quality of foods. I've got a couple of shrimps on a hanging spit for 25€. I didn't like to see shrimps hanging and it was very difficult to eat. This local restaurant is absolutely beautiful! It’s ambiance is only improved by the food and staff. We enjoyed some of the best wines of our trip and the cuisine was absolutely delicious. Contrary to other (rude) reviews, the anchovies are most definitely marinated in lemon and the fried potatoes are similar to fries, and it is purposeful. They were tastefully executed and complimented the rabbit which accompanied them. At the end of the meal, there were no taxis and the restaurant arranged for a local who had just finished his dinner to take us back to our lodging, free of charge!

This is a lovely place with lovely people and excellent food and wine. You are crazy not to dine here if you’re visiting Procida....
