Yes, one could say this is a high class restaurant. And of course we came for the view which was amazing. So I can understand that you pay extra for the view. Starting with 2,50 p.p just for sitting at a table, our evening went down pretty quick.

Service: We were a group of 5, but we're neglected by the staff for at least 25 minutes after they showed us our table. While taking the order, they mixed everything up, resulting in dishes we didn't order, wine we didn't want, and which was way more expensive, then written on the menu. The fish filet was more like minced meat.

Food: I cannot complain about the quality of the food. It was delicious, but. You are expected to eat 3 meals p.p, each minimum 9€, cause it you won't go for pasta you won't get full. Me and a friend shared the fish of the day. Big enough for 2 people we ended up with 200g without side dishes. Our friends got Spaghetti without the clams and still payed the full price.

After paying 40€ for one dinner, I could have still eaten a whole pizza. Taken together with the ignorant and unwelcoming service, I would not recommend to eat her. Go enjoy the sunset and head to another restaurant for...

The waiters are very kind and attentive, the bathroom is decent. Small details can be taken into collateral discussions, But a restaurant is about food, first of all. And regarding the quality of the dishes we are talking about superlative. We started with an easy starter, thought together with the lady who served us - this is a big plus that we give the restaurant: flexibility, freedom to deviate from the "letter" of the written menu. Then we took one of the specialties of the house: seafood and pesto paste and one of the culinary specialties of the Procida insula: rabbit paste. Do not pass this place up thinking it is just pizza. Great spot with open air dining overlooking the beach and harbor with fresh seafood, pasta, a bar plus good pizza. They try their best to make what you want. Be sure to ask what they have fresh off the boat that day. When trying to explain in English for us what were the specials she said "Wait, I'll show you" and a few minutes later came out with a beautiful platter for several kinds of fresh fish and a live lobster. She asked if I wanted half or whole because they felt 33 Euros was a lot for a whole fresh lobster. Compare to the states, that is not bad at all. Due to a flight cancellation, I found myself on the island of Procida. I took the L1 bus from the main port where the ferries enter, to the door of Da Girone which is located right on Ciracciola Beach. The owner's daughter was kind and prepared a table on the terrace for me until one in the dining room was available. As a solo traveler, on a misadventure, I found this so very gracious. She even made me a fresh lemon fizz while I waited. Once at my table, I ordered the recommended "Spaghetti al pesto di limoni, cozze." Folks, I still dream about this dish. It was the best pasta dish with mussels I have had in my life. It was so fresh, light and pure summer by the sea. Each bite made a smile spread across my lips. The owners also brought me a taste of a wonderful orange and fennel salad. A typical dish of the island. With two nice glasses of white wine from the neighboring island of Ischia, I was in heaven. Dessert was Semifreddo al pistacchio. I even had a nice conversation with Girone which made me feel even more welcome. I hope to return again soon, this time I will bring good friends to enjoy the experience. Debido a la cancelación de un vuelo, me encontré en la isla de Procida. Tomé el autobús L1 desde el puerto principal Puerto donde entran los ferrys, hasta la entrada de Da Girone que se encuentra justo en la playa de Ciracciola. La hija del propietario fue muy amable y me preparó una mesa en la terraza hasta que hubiera una disponible en el comedor. Como viajera solitaria, en una desventura, esto me pareció muy amable. Hasta me preparó un refresco de limón mientras esperaba. Una vez en mi mesa, pedí el recomendado "Spaghetti al pesto di limoni, cozze". Todavía sueño con este plato. Fue el mejor plato de pasta con mejillones que he probado en mi vida. Era tan fresco y ligero - puro verano junto al mar. Cada bocado dejaba una sonrisa en mis labios. La dueña también me trajo una maravillosa ensalada de naranja e hinojo, un plato típico de la isla. Con dos copas de un buen vino blanco de la isla vecina de Ischia, estaba en el cielo. El postre fue Semifreddo al pistacchio. Incluso tuve una agradable conversación con Girone que me hizo sentir aún más bienvenida. Espero volver pronto, esta vez llevaré buenos amigos para disfrutar de la experiencia.
