Trattoria Pizzeria Al Castello — Restaurant in Ragusa

This place may have many flaws, but the food certainly isn't one. Everything that we ordered here: pizza, pasta, salad, was absolutely amazing!

However there were flaws, biggest of all, in our opinion, was that by dinner time on Friday they had already finished all the sides vegetable! On top of it, The pizza arrived quite late after everything else; and There were a couple of dogs walking by the table, they were very well behaved, but patrons kept on feeding them; I know it not exactly the restaurant's fault, but I'm sure something could be done about that.

One nice thing though, was that even though the waiters weren't very knowledgeable of allergens in the dishes - as they weren't highlighted on the menu - they were happy to ask...

It's emotional for me! I used y6o come here when I was a child, with my fantastic Dad, and the whole family. I grew up running around those tables.. Since I don't live in Sicily anymore, every time I can, I love to eat in this place.. Nothing has changed!!! There is still the same guy which used to work here when I was a child, and he looks the same to me, even after 30 years!?! How??? Lol. Anyway, now days, you can find many restaurants in there, 30 years ago it was the only one!!! Still great food!!! And great...

The food was good, however the service is very poor as too many kids working here. They don’t even write down the order and as expected they forgot one of the dishes (we were 4). It took us 1 hour to get the last dish. Every 5-10 mins they brought a dish out (all main dishes). As like many people we like to eat at the same time so our experience was ruined. Then another 10-15 min wait...
