Osteria Moriconi — Restaurant in Ravenna

Ordered grilled vegetables, arrosticini, 2 pizzas, spritz and water, total cost 56 euro.

Pizzas were decent, thin dough, quite good for the price. Arrosticini were like 10? skewers with meat, some warm, some lukewarm. Good taste, but would have preferred they were all of the same temperature. Grilled vegetables were a drama for anything grilled and anything vegetable. They were cold, and unfortunately, tasted old.

Service was OK. The initial waitress were nice, but the waiter tried to come and push a 3rd pizza in our table which we didn't order. Fortunately, the order is written in a paper as you make it and left in the table, so the waitress said that yes, in fact we were right and we had only ordered what we had ordered.

We visited this restaurant yesterday as a group of four, and today all of us have food poisoning! Fever, diarrhea, nausea — we feel absolutely terrible. Three of us ate the seafood salad, and all three got sick. The fourth person didn’t eat it and is feeling relatively fine. I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant! It felt like they noticed we were tourists and decided to serve us old, spoiled food. That’s disgusting! The woman at the counter was also unfriendly. They were even stingy with napkins! But all of that is nothing compared to the fact that I’ve ruined my vacation and now my whole family is sick — and we’re in a foreign country!

Wir haben dieses Restaurant gestern zu viert besucht – und heute haben wir alle eine Lebensmittelvergiftung! Fieber, Durchfall, Übelkeit – uns geht es richtig schlecht. Drei von uns haben den Meeresfrüchtesalat gegessen und sind krank geworden. Die vierte Person hat ihn nicht gegessen und fühlt sich einigermaßen gut. Ich rate dringend davon ab, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen! Es wirkte so, als hätten sie erkannt, dass wir Touristen sind, und uns einfach verdorbene, alte Produkte serviert. Das ist ekelhaft! Die Frau an der Kasse war ebenfalls unfreundlich. Selbst an Servietten wurde gespart! Aber all das ist nichts im Vergleich dazu, dass mein Urlaub ruiniert ist und meine ganze Familie jetzt krank ist – und das in einem fremden Land!

We are here both nights of our visit to the are and absolutely loved our meals. The Eleonora pizza is without a doubt the best pizza my daughter and I have ever had. I wanted to eat it all, bit saved a bit just so I could enjoy some the next day for breakfast...glad I did. Had the steak with parmesan cheese on the next night and it was great too - cooked just as I ordered. Wife had tuna that was super good also. Daughter had the Eleanor pizza again, because it is simply the best pizza ever. House wine is also super good. You just can't...
