DON PA FOOD — Restaurant in Reggio Calabria

We’ve been touring through Italy now for two weeks beginning in Rome. And although the food here is delicious after two weeks you get burned out on pizza and pasta. This place was the first amazing salad we had since we’ve been here and on par with American salad shops like Sweetgreen and Chop’t. Maybe not as much variety but the ingredients were all very fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful despite us not speaking any Italian and worked with us kindly and patiently as we selected our salad ingredients. I stumbled upon this Italian gem and was pleasantly surprised by the affordability. We ordered a margherita pizza and two cans of Coca-Cola for just 11 euros as takeout. Ho mangiato in questo locale e sono rimasto abbastanza dispiaciuto. Ho preso un primo e un secondo, che mi hanno lasciato abbastanza confuso su cosa stessi mangiando e perché lì. La pasta era il primo, era stata riscaldata al fornetto avanti a me (ed era orario di pranzo), in più doveva essere "Pasta con il ragù", ed era fatta con salsiccia con finocchio e poco pomodoro, in più asciutta senza alcun che di minimamente fluido o denso come un sugo (praticamente asciutta). Il secondo era tacchino con patate, pieno di spezie e sembrava più pollo da sapore e cottura, le patate disidratate e per niente morbide. Capirei fosse meno costoso, o un locale meno adatto a un pranzo, ma è un locale per pranzo. Per quel che ho pagato, il risultato aveva un basso punteggio di qualità prezzo. Conosco anche altri locali simili, quindi un po' posso dire di capirne, e aggiungo per esempio che molti di questi hanno menù da 10 a 15 euro, e offrendo piatti invitanti, ben preparati e abbondanti di ottima qualità.
