Pescheria Friggitoria il corallo del mare — Restaurant in Ricadi

Best fish (and probably food) in the whole region. DO NOT MISS OUT! This place is run by some of the nicest people you will ever see. They fry and grill the fish they catch in the same day - freshness is guaranteed.

We have been in Santa Domenica for 10 days now, and we have been trying different sorts of fish. All were cooked to perfection, were extremely juicy and fresh. I hope one day I will be back here to see this lovely family again.

Highly recommended: grilled Spada (sawfish), grilled polpo (octopus) and fried Calamari (squids).

Most of the other places are trying to milk you for your money. But this pescheria (fish store) only cares about freshness, quality and flavour. You will not be disappointed.

Also, I have attached some of the photos of their food. You can see how juicy and lovely their dishes are.

Also, do not forget to order the onion and tomato salad. It is super nice (might sound simple, but it is insanely good with the grilled fish).

Siamo capitati in questo posto con aspettative altissime vedendolo spesso pieno. Una volta seduti sorvoliamo sul fatto che il tavolino e l’intera pedana erano in pendenza 😂 siamo in 5 ordiniamo 5 panini e 5 fritture … arrivano per prime le fritture carbonizzate , non so se sono state fritte due volte( o semplicemente l’olio della friggitrice non lo cambiavano da inizio stagione estiva )e per di più ricoperta di pepe ( mai mangiata in nessun posto una frittura con pepe , probabilmente hanno invertito la saliera) ;il caso vuole che invece di una frittura media ne arriva una piccola il cameriere rimedia subito portando il piatto in cucina e davanti a noi A MANI NUDE prendono altri fritti da un recipiente e li aggiungono al mio piatto… arrivano i 5 panini che sono rimasti tutti in quanto immangiabili , il gambero rosso puzzava ed era freddo , tutti i panini avevano 1kg di cipolla rovente all’interno, capisco che è una delle cose tipiche ma non è necessario farlo diventare il gusto predominante del piatto . Il pezzo più bello arriva alla fine , andiamo per pagare alla cassa e ci ritroviamo una bambino di massimo 10 ad aspettarci per il conto, voltandoci verso la cucina notiamo i taglieri schifosi dove poco prima era stato tagliato il pesce e una pulizia generale pari a una bettola ( non di certo un posto dove si può mangiare il pesce ) . Il conto è stato di 40€ a persona per aver mangiato mezza frittura di colore bordeaux e due morsi di panino alla cipolla e bevande come coca cola e acqua . Quel pesce lurido che abbiamo mangiato si è fatto sentire la notte …. da denuncia ! Girando in altri posti abbiamo parlato della friggitoria in questione è non c è stata una persona che non li ha definiti degli “zozzoni” direi che la nomina non è una delle migliori...

Nothing disappoints you in this family run place. You can actually watch the real fishermen sitting nearby and mending their equipment for the next morning's catch. The cook, a fisherman himself, is a super talented home cooking / grill master. The grilled fish is served juicy with a simple Tropeana salad of onions and tomatos with basil on the side.
