Del Kursaal — Restaurant in Rimini

Absolutely one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Italy so far. I ordered the ham and mushroom pizza, and it was exceptional. The crust was perfectly crispy on the edges while soft and airy in the center — an ideal texture. The toppings were generous, especially the mushrooms, which were just barely cooked through: juicy, tender, and still carrying that earthy, almost wild flavor. The ham was flavorful and well-balanced. You can tell the ingredients were respected and the preparation was thoughtful.

It’s a small local place, but the owner — an elderly gentleman — was incredibly friendly and welcoming. To make it even better, there's a nearby live band you can enjoy from the outdoor seating. It's a throw back to 20-30 years ago , I doubt the place has changed much over the years. The owner looks happy to be there and greeting customers and most likely friends with a friendly smile. The food is very well priced, esp considering where it is in the heart of Rimini , which is choc full of fancy eateries charging almost twice as much in some instances. The Margherita pizza was €5 the tagliatelle with mushrooms and cream was €7.50 and the penne pasta in Arrabbiata sauce was €6.50, the portions were very generous. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the food was good , but not great and I would have to say that the bottled water was overpriced at €1 for a small 500ml bottle. I expected more after the recommendations in google. Food normal, but not amazing, spagetti were just normal ( overload of cream as u can see in photo but taste of prawns were fresh), cassoni was big but very normal as well. We were the only ones in the evening who arrives but took more than 30 min for a plate of pasta and a cassoni ( quite slow I would say). No copperto which is good 9.50 euros for pasta with prawns cream zuchinni. You have other restaurants to eat good pasta or good pizza in the area, maybe just need to spend 2 euros...
