La Taverna Degli Artisti — Restaurant in Rimini

I'm giving it 1 star because of the following reasons:

1. the service was very slow. We first came there and asked for a table for two people and the waiter led us to a table that was still dirty from the previous customers and made us stand there for 5min and watch them clean the table for us. We expected a clean and ready table available for us. Then we ordered our food and I received my food after 20min and my wife had to wait for hers for around 40min, despite the fact that our foods we ordered were identical and similar in time cooking. Why bring one plate at a time instead of waiting for the other dish to be ready and then serve everything to us at once?
2. After we finished eating, we wanted to pay and asked the waiter to pay. She brought the receipt and I asked her if it's okay to pay by card and indeed it was possible. However, we were further ignored for the next 30min and had to ask for a second time another waiter for the payment via card. Finally, after losing my patience, I got up and decided to take this receipt to the desk and demand them to make me pay the bill, but the moment I got up, the waiter (whom I asked for the card payment) suddenly freaked out and thought we were just gonna leave without paying, obviously it was not my intention. Only then they realize that maybe they should prioritize the customers who want to pay and leave...

Honestly I have doubtful opinion about this place.

We bought two plastic bottles of water to take to our hotel room before going there (obviously we would never drink it in a restaurant) When a waiter showed us the table, we put our bottles on the table , and then the other waiter showed up and even without simple “buongiorno” he started to say “you have plastic bottles, we can’t have it here”. We were confused and said “We will not drink it here, we bought it for later”. But he didn’t listen and called the manager. He said the same thing and they were about to kick us out when I suddenly suggested “What if we place it on the floor?”. And the problem was solved.

Like, is it so difficult to ask us to place it on the floor before asking to leave? I don’t understand that.

Also don’t believe them when they tell you “one pizza for one person”. Look at the picture, one plate is half of a pizza, I can’t imagine eating the whole when I was already full half way eating this.

The waiter brought the dishes that we didn't order, took them away, brought them again, and took them again. "Seasonal vegetables" was steamed celery, no flavour, weird. I was sitting alone without my order (there were 4 of us) for a very long time. Everyone ate and then I received the wrong pasta - the waiter was insisting that that was what I had ordered. FYI - I am a waitress also and had witnesses to my ordering something else. My second dish never came. No sorry, no explanation, no smile. He was annoyed that I am causing a problem that he had created. I recalled my ordered pasta and octopus and asked for the check. We have received the entry check with the pasta that I have ordered (the correct one) but never received :) Again - no apologies. I don't think that I should pay coperto but I didn't want to fight. I have spent 9€ on nothing actually. However, we are from Poland and we appreciated the Polish waitress who was very nice and helpful. The rest of the food was 3.5/5. Good bread and olive...
