A complete mockery, however let’s start at least with the positives. Gatto Nero is a nice clean environment using crisp white linen tablecloths and good quality tableware. The service was courteous and friendly. That’s where the positives sadly end. We ordered two antipasti freddi di pesce and the actual amount of fish was ridiculous, actually close on offensive. I know costs have soared and times are hard……but we’re not idiots. As already mentioned, this was a mockery. Let’s run through it shall we. The menu mentioned 7 variations, and so here they are. •A tablespoon of tuna tartare. •A peeled prawn with the customary cocktail sauce •A frozen prawn with head left on smothered in a balsamic glaze - I think it was supposed to be some form of Catalana •Insalata di seppie - more julienne of veg than seppie •Tiny piece of smoked salmon on a tiny crisp bread •A black rice/grain with a tiny ring of…no idea what I was eating - whatever it was, I had no idea identifying it. •And then for the pièce de résistance, the Tuna, yes you read right, Tuna. Not only Tuna, but Tuna from a can, you know, the stuff that resembles cat food. How you can think you can get away with serving tinned Tuna on an antipasto di pesce is beyond me. This in my opinion was actually insulting. It’s a shame, they were nice, but I was there to eat, not make friends. Never mind, sadly I won’t...
Read moreEverything was incredibly studied to let you enjoy the whole experience: from the appetizers up to the second course (we didn't take the dessert because we were already incredibly full and satisfied!). The level of quality in the choice of raw ingredients, in the plates composition and in the service were all cutting edge! Last but not least, the atmosphere: you feel completely embraced in the luminous dehor, breathing the sea air that is just at 2 minutes from the see. If you book before 19:30 and you rent in a hotel that has a partnership with this restaurant, choose the fixed menu with 2 or 3 courses: you will be able to eat at a very discounted price. We went 3 times in one week and we will come back next time that we...
Read moreFirst evening in Rimini we went by this place, there were a lot of people , we decided to check reviews and they were quite accurate, waiters were very kind and told us we have to wait around 10-20minutes to be seated. We agreed to wait.
While we waited they brought us 2 glasses of prosecco, we were very nice surprised and this act definetely encouraged us to wait few minutes more.
Dinner two pizzas + two aperol spritzes, pizzas were good(especially medittarean one) and aperols were great , so evening in this place went great.
All in all prices are very affordable and it was no surprise this place is so crowded, if it is possible book your...
