Ristorante La Siesta — Restaurant in Rimini

We arrived at about 11PM, big group of 10 people. The staff was very nice and accommodating, even though the hour was late and they probably wanted to go home. They immediatelly set up a table, and the owner showed up to make sure everything is OK. The food and drinks were excellent. We had sea food and drank cocktails. The restaurant is right on the beach, on the edge where the sand starts, with nice views of the beach and the sea. They actually made an effort to decorate the space around the restaurant with statues and other decorations. Maybe a little pricey, but the quality of the food is worth the money, in my opinion. All in all a very nice, welcoming place, kid friendly too. I would go there again any...

Abbiamo pranzato oggi, la cameriera si è raccomandata alle 12,30 quindi puntuali ci siamo seduti a tavola… probabilmente la posizione del tavolo (nr 45) era un po’ defilata per cui dopo circa 15 minuti che nessuno arrivava a prendere l’ordine abbiamo alzato la mano per richiamare l’attenzione. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di cozze e a seguire le prime pietanze (primo della casa “strozzapreti alle vongole”, tagliolini allo scoglio e una tartare di tonno). Chiaramente la cameriera ci ha chiesto in che ordine far uscire le pietanze ed abbiamo optato per cozze subito e i primi tutto insieme dopo. Alle 13,50, dopo quasi 1,30 h che nulla arrivava, mentre agli altri tavoli arrivava tutto puntualmente, abbiamo chiesto se c’erano problemi con i nostri primi piatti. Lo abbiamo chiesto a più camerieri… appena ne passava uno a tiro chiedevamo ma rispondevano “sento in cucina” e poi non arrivava nessuna risposta. All’ennesimo sollecito… il più esplicito e duro la cameriera è andata in cucina ed è tornata scusandosi per l’attesa. Alle 14,00 sono arrivati i primi, oltretutto a rate per cui non abbiamo mangiato assieme. Il cibo era buono, di qualità e ben cucinato. Purtroppo il servizio, nel nostro caso, ha lasciato a desiderare… penso che con un po’ più di professionalità da parte del personale di sala il problema si sarebbe risolto al primo sollecito. La mia recensione è principalmente diretta al titolare del ristorante affinché educhi il suo personale ad avere un po’ più di attenzione al cliente e un po’ più di memoria: per avere il ghiaccio abbiamo dovuto chiederlo a tre camerieri diversi, idem per il pane aggiuntivo che poi non è mai arrivato tant’è che il sugo delle cozze è stato bevuto al cucchiaio per mancanza di pane e l’acqua sollecitata due volte. Horrible experience. We came there, waitress gave us a table. Then other lady came saying that this table is booked and not even offering us another table, even though there were plenty of tables free. Anyways someone left and gave the table to the couple that booked it so we stayed. Then she commanded the waitress not to take our order when she was standing in front of our table literally. The couple made their order right away, they got their food and we didn’t even get the menu until then. Very weird communication...
