La Buca — Restaurant in Rimini

AVERAGE FOOD, DINNER RUINED BY NASTY WAITRESS. The restaurant looks nice enough however our experience was ruined by our waitress. She had absolutely no customer service and got my (vegetarian) order wrong as i found out when a pasta with squid was brought out. My partner and his sister are Italian and so we're speaking on my behalf but when they politely said that it was not what we ordered she refused to acknowledge that she had made a simple mistake or apologise instead she accused us of lying and claimed we did order that pasta (which we obviously did not, I ordered a pomodoro pasta and pointed to it specifically, have been vegetarian for over 15 years and would not mistakenly order squid nor would my partner). She then took the plate away and got it changed again aggressively and did not apologise. The food that came was average, not bad but not what you would expect with the price point. Once done we asked how we paid, if we were to go up to the register to pay or if it would be at the table, she refused to answer our question and instead only told us we could not split the bill. We never asked nor were wanting to split the bill so don't know why she even bothered but regardless we are now left waiting at table to pay unsure of how it works. We also got told at the front of the menus that there would be a €2 service charge (not that service like this should be paid for in my opinion) however when we got the bill we say it is €2 per person, informations sneakily kept until after you have finished your meal. Will not be back and would not recommend unless you find rude ignorant staff...

We were here for dinner and got a small table placed between a big group table and another small table with guests. The owner really seems to like squeezing people in there more than looking out for comfort. We ordered Fritto Misto (fried gamberi, squids and small fish) and Tuna steak. The fritto misto was alright - the fish had bones it so be careful when eating it. The tuna steak was incredible. It was unexpectedly well cooked and tasted good. You can really taste the fishiness at the end. The waitress was friendly but did not speak English very well. Location is nice as it is close to the beach, next to the road....

Un’esperienza unica da ricordare e assolutamente da rifare!

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di vivere un’esperienza gastronomica davvero unica, resa indimenticabile da un piatto che ci ha saputo sorprendere e conquistare: la carbonara di mare. Un incontro perfetto tra tradizione e creatività, dove il connubio tra pesce freschissimo, grana e uovo ha acceso i nostri palati in un’esplosione di gusto. Il vero colpo di classe? I dadini di pesce spada affumicato, che con la loro consistenza e sapidità hanno saputo evocare il sapore familiare del guanciale croccante, omaggiando la carbonara classica con rispetto e originalità.

A seguire, un fritto di calamari, gamberi e verdurine che ha confermato la cura e la maestria della cucina: croccante, asciutto, leggero, come ogni fritto dovrebbe essere. Un vero piacere per il palato.

I prezzi sono assolutamente adeguati alla qualità delle materie prime e alla generosità delle porzioni, un equilibrio non sempre facile da trovare ma che qui si raggiunge perfettamente.

Il tutto incorniciato da una location incantevole, a due passi dal mare, con dehor esterno per godere della brezza marina e giardino interno per un’atmosfera più intima e rilassata.

Torneremo sicuramente, attratti dai tanti piatti che ci sono sfilati davanti agli occhi e che hanno stuzzicato la nostra curiosità. E la pizza, che sembrava davvero eccezionale, sarà senz’altro protagonista della nostra prossima visita.

Consigliatissimo per chi cerca gusto, qualità e un’esperienza...
