Rockisland Rimini — Restaurant in Rimini

It seems that the place is amazing, it's just didn't work out for us this time. It all started with the fact that they don't actually open at 5:30pm as it states on their website. Or they decided not to open this time, so they asked us to come later. I could kinda understand it due to the COVID situation. Anyway, we had to somehow spend another 30 minutes. Then we've got drink cards, but not actual menus. It's a minor thing, but still. After that, we had to look for a waiter to serve us. Considering that there were just a few tables occupied, this isn't kind of service one would expect. The food was actually good, even though my wife got not what she ordered. The beer was warm, but at least they used the right glass for Hoegaarden that doesn't happen often nowadays. In the end, we were playing a game of trying to make eye contact with a waiter. A gem in the middle of the sea Wether you want to have a mouthwatering seafood dinner while enjoying the best sunset view or just have a drink this is the perfect place in Rimini. Located at the very end of the pier this is a landmark of the Riviera Romagnola and a charming gem that no one, especially tourists, cannot miss. Not only the location and ambience are just mind blowing but also the service is great and the products are top notch. No matter how busy it can get, the waiters are always friendly, polite and professional. The management always does its best to guarantee the best spot and to accomodate the guests’ requests. This restaurant has always been my favorite since I was a kid and it was a pleasure being back to celebrate my birthday here after 5 years living abroad. We were very disappointed with our visit to this establishment, there was no staff at the entrance to seat us, which is of course okay and sometimes happens, so we chose a free seat ourselves and waited for service. After 15 minutes of waiting when no one noticed us, no one even looked at us to speak, so the partner went to the waiter and asked for a menu so that we could choose from the menu, the waiter gave him a food and drink menu, from which we chose and waited another 15 minutes for someone to reserve a time for us, then another waiter happened to walk by and warned us that the kitchen was already closed, so after half an hour spent waiting and ignoring their customers, we preferred to leave straight away.
