Hopificio — Restaurant in Rome

The moment they realize you are not Italian, they will not want to serve you. Although they saw us sitting there for almost 20 minutes and passed our table several times with having eye contact, they didn’t bring us the menu. We could see how the waiters were starring and talking about us. Only after we asked for the menu, they brought it and then we waited another 15 minutes for them to come and get the order. Meanwhile they were kind and attentive towards the Italian customers. We should have left earlier but we were just too tired to look for another place after a long day of sightseeing. The food is ok but the service is really horrible. Will not...

Some of the best food we've had while visiting Rome, and cheaper too. We really want to try more things on their menu.

Had a very casual vibe. Most were there to drink in the courtyard outside. An activity we may partake in again. Some of the best beers we've seen on tap in Italy. Coming from Vermont, we were pleasantly surprised.

Inside, service seemed good by Italian standards. Waitress spoke excellent English.

LEGGETE FINO ALLA FINE: Avevamo prenotato per 20 persone, qualche giorno prima, specificando che se pioveva saremmo stati OVVIAMENTE dentro e OVVIAMENTE ci era stato risposto che non c'erano problemi. Ieri andiamo anche in anticipo rispetto alla nostra prenotazione e già lì una cameriera non ci voleva far sedere... Senza darci tra l'altro alcuna spiegazione. Comunque intanto ordiniamo e io personalmente ordino uno hugo, non faccio neanche in tempo a terminare la frase che vengo zittita dicendomi che non ce l'avevano... Inizia a piovere e quindi gli chiediamo di spostarci dentro come appunto logico e come da accordi durante la prenotazione... Abbiamo dovuto parlare con ben 3 camerieri (assurdo)... Una cameriera ci ha risposto:" io non so che dirvi" , un altro:" si ok che avete prenotato anche per dentro ma voi questa mattina dovevate vedere il tempo e richiamarti" inutile aggiungere qualsiasi commento. Purtroppo siamo stati costretti a cambiare locale (ripeto eravamo 20... Ed era una festa, quindi anche figuraccia con gli invitati). Paghiamo le bibite che avevamo bevuto sotto la pioggia e ci volevano far pagare 2 birre mai arrivate. Mentre ce ne stavamo andando, una cameriera (quella dell'inizio) ci ha RINCORSO urlandoci che dovevamo ancora pagare. ASSURDO... NON...
