I recently dined at this restaurant during my trip to Rome, and I must say it was a huge letdown. Despite being in a less touristy area, I had high hopes for a great meal, but unfortunately, it was the worst dining experience I've had.
The food was far from fresh; it felt like it had been reheated before serving. The quality was subpar, and for the price we paid, this was unacceptable. The menu promised so much, but the actual dishes were a major disappointment.
Furthermore, I'm baffled by the high rating this restaurant has received. Based on my experience, it's difficult to comprehend how it could have garnered such positive reviews. It's a stark contrast to the disappointing and subpar meal and service I encountered during my visit.
While the atmosphere was decent, it couldn't make up for the lackluster service. The staff seemed disinterested, and it took forever to get our orders in.
All in all, this restaurant offered a terrible value for money. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Rome. There are plenty of better options in the city to enjoy a delicious and authentic Italian meal.

Read moreVery touristy here but still impressive. It’s located in a seriously busy area aimed at tourists. This restaurant and several others nearby had sizeable lines of people waiting to get in. We waited for maybe five minutes only luckily before we got an outside table.
We started with an Aperol Spritz which to my surprise was one of the best we’ve had in a three and half week visit here in Italy. No skimping on essential ingredients here. This drink is a beauty and it’s skillfully made.
We had three dishes. The mixed bruschetta to share and a salmon and a tuna salad for each of us. The bruschetta was largish and very tasty. There’s nothing fine or fancy about it. It’s just good food. Same with the salads. They’ve quite large and very competently made. Plenty of salmon, plenty of tuna, plenty salad ingredients. There’s nothing fancy or innovative about them, but we enjoyed them regardless.
The staff are very active here. This is a seriously busy business and they were all well on the ball during our stay. This is a good competent tourist oriented restaurant. It won’t win any culinary awards but it’s a good safe choice for dinner based on...
Read moreThe staff was friendly and the only reason this review isn't 1 star. My particular waiter was understandably uncomfortable speaking English, but other staff would step in and help.
I had really looked forward to the food based on other reviews, but it took shear willpower to down my food. I like my noodles al dente, but the rigatoni in my carbonara was undercooked and far too tough. This would have been a minor annoyance if not for the overabundance of salt and pepper on the dish. It was really, really salty: completely overpowered everything else. All I could taste was salt. To top it off, I couldn't even wash it down with my "lemonade." I appreciate that it was likely freshly squeezed, but it was incredibly sour: tasted like I was drinking straight lemon bitters. Even after diluting it with water, I was still unable to drink it.
The food was rough enough I only ate a banana for dinner that day. While it didn't make me sick or anything, I couldn't stomach anything else. Maybe I just had an off dish. I understand accidents can happen without the cook realizing it, but my food was so awful I can't bring myself to give them...
