I Veraci — Restaurant in Rome

If you want to taste authentic Italian food, this is definitely the place to visit. The restaurant is run by a family and mostly visited by locals, which I guess is not strance as it's located outside the city center. We happened to be staying in a hotel nearby, so we decided to go for dinner, since we arrived in Rome a bit late and wanted to grab something to eat in the neighbourhood. What a pleasant surprise it was; the food was excellent, really authentic and homemade. And the entire atmosphere made us feel at home. It was so good, we decided to return a few more times, to have their fantastic focaccia and "crostata dei veraci", which was unbelievable. This is a great place. The owners are super helpful and really work to make sure you are happy. The food is very good, we had the bruschetta which was delicious. The pinse was delicious, we've not had this before and the crust is more delicious than pizza crust. The pasta carbonara was very good. The grilled marinated chicken came with some delicious roasted potatoes. If there was anything I'd change it is just that i prefer less salt on everything. La mia non sarà una critica perché in questo ristorante non ho mangiato male. I piatti sono discreti ed il servizio buono. Il consiglio è quello di rendere il menù più chiaro in quanto a prezzi perché il cliente non è messo al corrente con esattezza sul costo di alcuni prodotti. Sul menù ad esempio non è specificato che l’antipasto misto di salumi e formaggi non può essere ordinato per una sola persona ed è solo per due, di fianco è riportata la dicitura 15 euro. Nessuna altra informazione, nè che il prezzo è a persona nè che deve essere preso al minimo per due ( questa cosa non la comprendo poiché potrebbero essere semplicemente messe porzioni singole sul tagliere ma non posso giudicare questa scelta, ognuno fa come crede). Quando ho ordinato il tagliere ed il ristoratore mi ha avvisato che fosse per due avevo semplicemente inteso fosse abbondate. Io consiglio di cambiare questa cosa sul menù perché esplicitare un prezzo che non sarà mai pagato visto che il tagliere per 1 persona non è ordinabile, è un po’ ingannevole. Lo stesso vale per la grigliata, indicato un prezzo che poi sarà a persona. Un altro tavolo vicino al nostro quella sera ha fatto notare lo stesso, ciò vuol dire che non sono stata l’unica a sollevare la questione. È un diritto del consumatore sapere cosa andrà a pagare senza avere sorprese, tutto qui.

Per il resto, come dicevo, ho mangiato bene ed il servizio è stato veloce. Ad ogni modo, basta effettuare delle piccole correzioni sul menù per essere al corrente di ciò che si ordina e si paga senza sorprese e dal canto del gestore per agire in onestà ed...
