Horrible experience!!! So, let me start by saying that I really wanted to go there for my birthday. But I was late with the reservation and there were no free spots for that date (fortunately, as it turned out later). There was no communication with them on WhatsApp! They only replied once that there were no free tables, and then there was no response to my next messages at all. Also it’s fully booked on the website for the next days. However! As I noticed later, on the day of the visit you need to monitor the website and free time slots appear there. So we booked a time and went there, to the outskirts of Rome.
When we arrived, the waiter led us to the table - small round table around a pillar, with chairs without backs, so there was nowhere to even put jackets. Although there were several free tables for two nearby! The waiter did not come up to us right away, and when he come and found out that we speak English, he said that another waiter would come to us. Okay.. When she came up, we asked if we could move, since there were free tables, she answered - “No, since everything is booked and today we have a quiz”, although we came earlier, so I do not understand this. We got the impression that this was because we are tourists and do not speak Italian. Then the other people came and the quiz began. We waited for our order for 40 minutes, at an uncomfortable table, in the middle of this quiz, feeling like we were at someone else’s party… In my opinion, if you're going to organize something like this, make it as a closed party, or just on one floor, and put all the other guests on another, as you have two floors.
About food: the only thing that was tasty was the potatoes, we didn't like pizza at all, we ordered two different, ate a couple of pieces and took the rest with us, as a result, our stomachs hurt after it and we just threw it away!
Now about the design: yes, there is music from the Harry Potter movie, yes, you can buy the appropriate souvenirs, yes, the design is interesting, BUT: all the photo locations are right next to the tables where people are sitting, so taking normal photos, unless there is no one there, is almost impossible!
To resume: an overhyped place with deceptive photos on Instagram. The location is bad. The food is not tasty. The staff is not interested in their work. I do...
Read moreTo be honest, I do not understand all the fuss about this restaurant.
First of all, this is actually just a normal, rather mediocre pizzeria with special names for all their stuff. Further, except for the desert all food looks exactly like it would in any other simple Italian restaurant.
As for the food; I’d say it is average, really not a reason to visit the place. It does have colourful names and descriptions but tastes rather plain.
This is also valid for the desert, with the difference that the sweets are presented in a very cute way. A dream for every Potter fan.
However- as good as they look, they do not taste good. We took four different in total and shared, so everyone could try each. The talking hat miniature, mandrake pot and the snitch ball tasted all the same; as chocolate stuffed in other chocolate, covered with more chocolate. The potions on the other hand were just smoothies im nice looking bottles.
The worst part is in my opinion the location. I don’t know for which reason the district was chosen, but it is one of the worst to get to without a car. If you go from the center you have to switch busses 2 - 3 times. Getting a taxi for the way back in the evening is a lottery, cause there is usually no driver nearby.
The staff however is very friendly and attentive. Prices on the other hand are not. With us being 3 people, who ate 2 antipasti, one pizza, one kids menu, had a bottle of water, cola, two beers and four deserts we paid over 105 Euro.
Well, we didn’t feel like the food was worth it, so we...
Read moreI was so excited to eat here after seeing an IG reel so when we booked our Rome tour I made reservations for this months in advance. Coming from the US it’s a once in a lifetime trip for us. When the day finally came I was so excited but as soon as we got there I realized it was not that great. The menu is super limited. The pizza was just ok. Nothing special. They only have 2 different shifts, one from 7:15pm to 9:30pm and 9:45pm to 11:30pm. When we got there the lady told me they couldnt seat us even though we had a reservation so I showed her the messages and she finally agreed to seat us. As we were finishing up our food, some lady started talking in Italian through a microphone. Being from the US we had absolutely no idea what she was saying. We ended up cutting the evening short because it wasn’t enjoyable when you have no idea what’s being said. The decor was very nice. Dow stairs is where the best decor was. The prices were good but after spending over $50 euros on just the taxi to get there from where we were staying, I definitely would not have gone if I would have known. If you don’t speak Italian, save...
