Nice little local restaurant. The menu is ideally sized with a focus on pasta, pizza and meat. There is no fish on the card. The dishes are adequately sized and the price is unbeatable!! I personally recommend the tres caldos as a starter. The restaurant is run by a local family. They do not speak English well although they have an English menu card. Staff is very friendly and ordering food is no problem if you speak a little bit Italian. A lot of local people visiting it in the evening hours and the proximity to the townhall and the church make it a perfect spot for an evening...

In questo Ristorante Storico,ho pranzato diverse volte.E'storico,in quanto sia ubicato nel Centro Storico di Ruvo di Puglia. È un Ristorante molto caratteristico,ed è stato ricavato in uno stabile antico, appunto e,in una zona davvero speciale del paese,dal valore autentico.L'ambiente, è accogliente, rimodernato, luminoso; con tavoli ben allineati e,ben predisposti; dall'arredamento perfettamente intonato alla sua caratteristica: e cioè, essere un Ristorante rustico, anche dal suo nome stesso. Appena entrati, si è subito conquistati dalla cordialità e, dalla simpatia dei gestori. Il menù, è vario e,vasto; prevalentemente a base di prodotti degli orti locali: come verdure,o fave con cicorie per primi piatti,o orecchiette fresche con pomodoro, oppure paste con funghi.Quindi,ci sono i secondi, quasi sempre con verdure,o carni grigliate;i contorni,poi, frutta fresca di stagione;i dessert, e in ultimo,il caffè,o Amari: ciò che si preferisce.Ed è tutto gustosissimo e, cucinato bene.I prezzi,sono super convenienti;il servizio ai tavoli: eccellente e, veloce. Scendendo poi, per una lunga scalinata,ci si ritrova in una Tavernetta chiusa, completamente in pietra, tipo grotta; avente volta a botte e,un grande camino al centro, più adatta per una cena tra amici! Cos'altro aggiungere? Che è un Ristorante particolare e, che vada assolutamente scelto per assaporarne al pieno...

It's one of those typical Italian restaurants that just do not fail to meet your expectations. The food is amazing with a great priority on the menu and the service is always with a smile and very quick as well. The owners are very humble Italians and not some great conglomerate corporation which lacks soul. Couldn't recommend this...
