We ended up in this restaurant quite by chance: in Collalbo / Klobenstein not many restaurants are open in the second half of October, and some are only open for lunch.||Upon our arrival (8:30 pm), the restaurant was empty, and this has made us a bit suspicious. But as subsequent experience has been valuable, we thought the hotel guests (mostly Germans) had at that time already finished dinner and were gone.||So everything was exquisite: soup with canederli / knodel (Tyrolese dumpling), veal medallions with Madeira wine, Wiener schnitzel, finally parfait with chestnuts and chestnut cake with chocolate and cream.||The good value for money should also be noticed : 86 euro for four people, including water, house wine and two brandies (please consider, however, that only three main dishes and two desserts were ordered). Wir kennen Klobenstein seit Jahrzehnten, haben bislang jedoch immer in Oberbozen gewohnt. Das wollten wir ändern und buchten uns, reichlich spät, im Wiesenheim ein. Das Zimmer, das uns freundlicherweise zugeteilt wurde, hatte einen kleinen Balkon mit herrlichem Blick tief hinein in die Dolomiten. Das wäre schon das Beste, was es zu schreiben gäbe, denn das Zimmer war spartanisch ausgestattet mit dem gerade Allernötigsten und nur der Balkontür als Lichtquelle. Das Fehlen eines Fernsehers wurde von der Hausherrin nicht kommentiert. Das Bad war klein, aber wie das ganze Haus sehr sauber. Das Frühstück wird in dem sehr hellen und freundlich eingerichteten Restaurant serviert (!) und läßt kaum Wünsche offen. Eier werden in allen Variationen angeboten. Dringend zu empfehlen ist, für sehr kleines Geld Halbpension zu buchen, denn der Hausherr kocht sehr, sehr gut, am Sonntag sogar ein exzellentes 5-gängiges Menü ohne dafür einen Aufpreis zu verlangen, das auch in der gehobeneren Gastronomie bestanden hätte. Der Koch und Hausherr erhielt entsprechende "sitting ovations". Die Weinkarte war überraschend gut sortiert und preislich in Ordnung. Insgesamt ein recht angenehmer Aufenthalt, der durch die wirklich sehr einfachen Zimmer und die vor allem an Samstag Abenden und Nächten doch recht laute Lage geschmälert wird.
