We visited this place several times over the course of a few days, and unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing.

The biggest issue was the service — it was consistently poor. On multiple occasions, we were completely ignored by the staff, sometimes waiting up to 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. It felt like we were invisible, despite the place not being overly busy.

As for the food, we tried the puccia salentina with salami and mozzarella, which was actually very good in terms of taste. However, there was another issue: they never seemed to have the right ingredients. Some days they were out of spicy salami, and on others, they didn’t have the regular one either.

While the food itself was enjoyable when available, the lack of consistency and poor service really affected the overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re very patient — and even then, you might not get what...

Marcello the owner of this bar and his team made us feel warmly welcomed. We visited this bar twice within a couple of days and were always surprised by the hospitality of the people, the straight forward but tasty Italian food and the cosy atmosphere of this place. If you are just up for a short stop over, you may sit in front of the bar. If you are looking for a place to rest from the sun, take a seat in the lovers beer garden or find a seat near the beach. You will always find somewhere to sit and d something to eat or drink that will fit your expectations. At the same time you can experience honest Italian hospitality from the heart. The primo (pasta with chickpeas) and the sandwich (puccia with salami) was good. For the secondo, we wanted to be surprised, and received a few leaves of salad with roasted radicchio, spinach and bread. It tasted mainly bitter, felt more like a side dish than a main and still cost as much as the pasta. The picture is after I had eaten half of it, but unfortunately it didn't look much better in the beginning.
