Gigino Il Pirata — Restaurant in San Giovanni a Piro

The place is very nice, I think it’s family owned which makes it more authentic for me. Me and my family came here twice, one evening to eat at the restaurant, the other evening for takeaway. When we stayed at the restaurant, we were given a lot at appetizers for free before our meal, and throughout the evening they always got us what we needed. The other evening we had some problems with the payment and they didn’t stress at all and told me it was all good. They once again gave me everything I asked for even though I was bringing it home. So to sum it all up it is a very nice place with some of the best service...

il posto è carino e si presenta come una tipica trattoria-pizzeria di mare "alla buona". accetta le prenotazioni. sulla freschezza del cibo non si discute (confermato da tantissime persone del posto) infatti non tutti i cibi indicati nel menù erano disponibili. sia la pizza che tutte le pietanze del menù ristorante sono molto buone e abbondanti. il posto vale molto per rapporto qualità prezzo. ma ora veniamo alle NOTE DOLENTI. VINO: mi hanno portato vino caldo della casa che ho rimandato indietro. abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti (polpette di melanzane zeppoline di mare e alici marinate) tutto era buono ma ci hanno portato dei crocche' che non avevamo ordinato. le alici non sarebbero mai arrivate se non avessimo insistito più volte e la figlia di giggino infastidita ci ha portato solo una porzione dicendoci che dovevamo pure ringraziarla perché non erano state segnate all'origine. i primi sono venuti tutti in tempi diversi e quindi non abbiamo mangiato insieme. ma la cosa peggiore sono oltre ai tempi di attesa al tavoli lunghissimi, l'atteggiamento di giggino e a seguire della figlia. TI RINGHIANO CONTRO CON FARE RABBIOSO. SE FAI ALCUNE DOMANDE MOSTRANO EVIDENTI SEGNI DI INSOFFERENZA. SEMBRA CHE LORI FANNO UN FAVORE A TE. UN SERVIZIO DAVVERO RIDICOLO. POCO PERSONALE. IL PIZZAIOLO ABBANDONAVA IL FORNO PER SERVIRE LE PIZZE (COSA MAI VISTA PRIMA). e poi il conto... anche se ti fanno la fattura non sai mai cosa hai pagato... giudicate dalle foto. CI RITORNO SOLO PER LA BONTÀ DEL CIBO. MA DURANTE LA SERATA TUTTI I COMMENSALI O LA VIVONO COME UNA SERATA CON SPETTACOLO IN PRIMA FILA OPPURE SI DANNO MOLTI PIZZICHI...

Ristorante pessimo, scarsissima qualità del cibo e titolare a dir poco scortese, mangiato degli scialatielli ai frutti di mare (solo vongole e cozze tra laltro quasi tutte vuote) Il tutto salatissimo condito con del vino di pessima qualità, e per avere mosso una critica siamo stati raggiunti in questo bar dove bonariamente ci avevano consigliato questo posto e siamo stati minacciati e ingiuriati con parole improponibili. Da evitare assolutamente.. una vergogna per un luogo meraviglioso come Scario.Consiglio: non andateci!

Bad restaurant, very poor quality of food and owner to say the least rude, ate scialatielli with seafood (only clams and mussels among other things almost all empty) All very salty seasoned with poor quality wine, and for having moved a criticism we are we were met in this bar where they had kindly recommended this place and we were threatened and insulted with unacceptable words. To be avoided absolutely .. a shame for a wonderful place like Scario. Advice: don't go there! Schlechtes Restaurant, sehr schlechte Qualität des Essens und Besitzer, um es gelinde auszudrücken, aßen Scialatielli mit Meeresfrüchten (nur Muscheln und Miesmuscheln unter anderem fast alle leer) Alles sehr salzig gewürzt mit Wein von schlechter Qualität, und für eine Kritik sind wir wir? wurden in dieser Bar getroffen, in der sie diesen Ort freundlicherweise empfohlen hatten, und wir wurden mit inakzeptablen Worten bedroht und beleidigt.
