Very nice looking restaurant. It has partial views of the marina, but we couldn't seat as it was already full. The inside is well decorated and lit with a mix of different modern styles. Definitely an upper tier restaurant for people not only looking for quality, but also for an experience and some novelty in the local culinary tradition. Waiters and sommelier ate there to guide you through different menus or to help you pick what you want based on your preferences. The two menus available to us tonight were quite big: 5 plus courses for 65 or 75 eu plus wine. Interesting, but a bit too steep for us. We opted for 2 starters one first course and one main to share. We had tartare and seppioline, fragile after that and the calamari fir main. No dessert, just a coffee. Everything was lovely. Very happy with our meal and the wine choice we were advised to have. Sommelier is a nice knowledgeable guy that will be happy to talk you through the pros and cons of a choice or pairing to the point to have other wine tasted to get the differences. Endorsed, but be prepared for a fine dining dinner with the included portions(even tough were really full at the end) and bill at the end. Siamo stati a cena in due al ristorante Papaveri e Mare di San Vincenzo e l’esperienza è stata davvero sopra le aspettative. In una zona dove l’offerta di bistrot e locali è vastissima, questo ristorante riesce a distinguersi per qualità, cura e professionalità. Fin dal nostro arrivo siamo rimasti colpiti dall’accoglienza e dal servizio: i camerieri si sono dimostrati preparati, gentili e molto attenti, capaci di spiegare i piatti con competenza e di rendere la cena ancora più piacevole. Un servizio davvero impeccabile, che si percepisce fatto con passione e attenzione al dettaglio. Il locale è curato in ogni aspetto: all’ingresso si può scorgere la cucina a vista, ordinata e pulitissima, che trasmette subito fiducia. Anche il personale in sala è sempre in ordine e attento ai dettagli, cosa che contribuisce a dare un’impressione di grande professionalità. Abbiamo scelto di cenare all’esterno: lo spazio è piccolo ma molto gradevole, con la giusta distanza tra i tavoli e un allestimento sobrio e raffinato. L’atmosfera è intima e rilassata, perfetta per godersi una serata senza fretta. La cucina è stata una conferma: piatti di mare creativi, equilibrati e realizzati con ingredienti freschissimi. Ogni portata racconta una cura particolare, sia nella presentazione che nel gusto, riuscendo a unire tradizione e modernità. È evidente che dietro a ogni piatto ci sia uno studio preciso e tanta passione. Per quanto riguarda la prenotazione, il locale non è grandissimo ed è molto richiesto, quindi è consigliabile prenotare con un po’ di anticipo: noi, per scrupolo, abbiamo prenotato una settimana prima (forse anche troppo largo), ma meglio non rischiare se si vuole trovare posto. In sintesi, Papaveri e Mare è un ristorante che unisce eleganza, qualità e un servizio impeccabile. Very nice location in front of the San Vincenzo touristic harbour. Original internal furnishing. Considering the level (medium-high) of the restaurant the ratio quality / price is correct. I was unpleasantly struck by an item on the bill. Premise: they have not a baby menù. Fortunately we bring the baby's food (pastina) with us. So we needed only to cook and to add some tomato and parmesan. They added the pastina with tomato in the bill. Never happened before. In my opinion, it is not nice and professional. That's why...
