Some of the kindest owners we have met. My girlfriend and I were on vacation and got stranded in Santo Stefano for a night after missing the last train back to Palermo. We called around and were referred to call the owners who also own a bed and breakfast for rent in the area. The owner offered to come and pick my girlfriend and I up despite the late hour and last minute phone call. They were so kind and hospitable. This is by far the most expensive cap in Italy, and we have been here now over a month. In regards to approaching the subject post receipt with the host, I feel that by awkwardly doing so with my limited Italian would have left a bad taste in my mouth, and taken the sweetness out of the delicious pastries which we enjoyed with the coffee (hence the 2 stars).
