IL DIAMANTE — Restaurant in Santu Diadòru/San Teodoro

we booked a table and arrived on time. was seated nearly right away but then waited 20 minutes just to order drinks (which we already decided our mains as well). Not to mention we had to ask for a drinks menu seperately. Drinks were quite prompt but food took over 45 minutes! We were surprised as everyone around received their food, even those who came after us. No one came to check up on us or let us know about the wait. We saw people who came after us receive their food, have dessert and coffee, and then pay and leave; whilst we were still waiting for our food! Finally, we received the bill of which we waited 15 minutes and had to ask for twice, as the waiter we asked decided to ignore us multiple times and even stand around us. Pizza was really good, honestly! The waiters really nice and always smiling…BUT… unfortunately the entire atmosphere was ruined by the general manger. Grumpy, cold and at points rude. Such a shame to put such unprofessional individuals in charge of a place that can be really the go to place for one of the best pizzas in san teodoro.

when asked about wifi or other small things, all the waiters were all told off by that lady. I work with more than 150 restaurants and this is not the way to operate a business. Maybe a suggestion for the owner… your restaurant is fantastic do not let someone ruin your guests’ experience because of that 🙏🏻

Apart from the unpleasant lady, everything else was good… I honestly would have gone again multiple times during my holiday but I can’t stand...

Nothing to complain about the food, the pizzas are really fantastic. But the personnel especially the ones who have something to say are really rude. We were in for less than 5 minutes and they came to ask what we wanted to drink and eat. We already knew what to drink but not yet what to eat. The waiters said with side eyes I'll be back in 2 minutes and so did she. Sorry but if everyone has their menu open and is still figuring out what they want to eat, you wait until the menus are closed. We really felt that we had to eat as soon as possible and leave for the next one. So it is more of a food barn than a restaurant where you can relax after a beautiful day at the beach.
