We’ve been to this spot three times in the past 18 months. Gotta say, with each visit, it feels like the portions are shrinking, prices are climbing, and the service is taking a hit, probably we won’t visit again.
Yeah, the menu’s been updated, that’s a win ,but honestly, it feels like they’re trying to go all “gourmet” with tiny portions and fancy plating, while the waiters are straight-up sprinting around because they’re understaffed? I respect the hustle, I really do, but come on: forgetting to bring utensils until after the food hits the table? Then when the waiter finally brought them (two knives, two forks), he just dropped them on my side and dipped back to the kitchen 🤣 Number one task of a waiter (was the young male) is to check if everything is ready on a table (being attentive and moving slower, self confident) when he brings the food. I understand the giggles and laughs and enjoyment they have while working, but it costs you stars. Yeah…
Not trying to sound entitled, but the service-to-price ratio here is way off. They had better days…
Also… what’s up with the bread? That was hands down the driest bread I’ve had in the last, what 5 years? I would be ashamed to give such dry bread to my visitors in the home.
It wasn’t like this before. They used to serve olive oil and all that good stuff right to the table — now it’s MIA.
As for the food — I had the Mediterranean seabream. And man, that fish was tiny. I swear I’ve swum next to bigger ones in Budoni. So yeah, my disappointment started the second that plate landed.
Breakdown: Location + Effort from female staff + (who is workjng there for a long time we believe) Decent food - Small portions/dry bread - Higher price for what u get...
Read moreProbably after my review, there will be another negative reaction to it from the owner (which we did not see at our table), instead of having an open mind for once and learning from what people say what can improve. It is always down to the customer and almost never the restaurant. Also, he can always remember the guests who give negative comments. Wonder if he also remembers us despite our visit 3 weeks ago. The food was average. The pasta (Gnocchetti con pomodoro e basilico) with tomato sauce and basil lacked the basil flavour or did the 2 loose basil leaves on top of the dish have to go with it. My dish was the swordfish (Guazzetto di cozze, vongole e spada in rosso) with clams. Too much red sauce which made the swordfish undetectable. This appeared to have sunk to the bottom of the bowl. At least I assume it was swordfish, because the amount of sauce, could have been tomato soup, made it impossible to recognise the fish as such. The drinks order went wrong, there were only four of us, 2 beer, natural water and apple juice. It shouldn't be that difficult. The beer, ordinary Sardinian beer Ichnusa cost €7 for a small bottle. We asked why it was so expensive and then they deadpanned that in the bar Zio Pepe situated downstairs, the beer costs €10. What that has to do with each other I wonder. I have never paid more than €5 in the 3 weeks I have been in Sardinia. I think it's a rip-off for a simple restaurant in such a location. I rarely give an inferior review, but I can't make it any nicer than it is unfortunately. On a positive note, the outdoor location was alright with a view over the...
Read moreDo NOT eat here. I ordered the mixed grilled meat plate and what they gave me, were the most generic and unseasoned meats I've probably ever seen in my life. The meats didn't have a salty taste which makes me suspicious that they didn't even put salt on the meats. The presentation of the meats weren't nearly up to par with all of the other dishes. What they need to do better is: Learn how to cook meat and present it in an appealing way. Then my friend ordered a "... Pinsa" (I don't know the exact name of the dish as of writing this review) and in the website where their menu is, said that her dish had gluten. She was expecting a dish that is similar to a Pizza, but once the dish came, a plate with salad, cheese and thinly sliced beef came. As I said before, the menu said that her dish had gluten in it, but there was nothing of the like in her dish. What I have noticed going through the reviews, is that almost everyone who wrote this restaurant a review, ordered the same dish. I tasted the dish (a Pasta with shrimp) from the plate of my other friend and I have the opinion of the Shrimp Pasta being nothing special. They definitely should have made a "Our famous dishes" section in their website, to lead people away from the worse dishes. I am not judging anyone's preferences in food, but this is how I experienced this...
