Starting with the positives: The location is very nice, the staff are attentive, it is clean and modern, and the food is well presented. I rarely write negative reviews but given the price Vs quality of the food here I felt it required a comment given the other overwhelmingly positive reviews.
I had the duck and my partner the tuna.
Starting with the duck; I have to assume it was pre-cooked and then either reheated or kept warm. It was very dry and surprisingly bland, with the skin being soft rather than crunchy. It came with several reductions which were good and contributed towards improving the taste, but not texture. It came with leek, spinach and potato which were fine.
Tuna: I will simply speak to the slice that I nicked from my partner. Given the tuna is "breaded" I was somewhat surprised that it tasted charred - bordering on burnt, despite not actually being able to see any char. I felt it wasn't pleasant to consume.
I'm very hopeful that this was just a fluke with our food and hope this is taken as constructive feedback. Another small point: the tuna appears twice on the English menu at different prices.
Given our experience here compared to others we have had in the area, I would not be able to...
Read moreWhat a fantastic and genuine experience! This is a rare find—a restaurant that manages to be both refined and genuinely welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel completely at ease, creating an atmosphere that was both comfortable and elegant. The table service was attentive and friendly, adding to the wonderful vibe. The food was absolutely outstanding, and you could taste the passion in every dish. The star of the show was undoubtedly the pulpo. It was tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection, a true testament to the kitchen's skill. What really sets this place apart, though, is the open kitchen. Watching the chefs at work was a treat. You could see the joy and pride on their faces as they prepared each plate. They weren't just cooking; they were clearly having fun, and that energy translated directly into the incredible food on our table. This is the kind of place you'll want to come back to again and again. It's fine dining without the fuss, where great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional service are the top priorities. Highly...
Read moreLovely little wine bar in the centre of San Teodoro, Sardinia. Good, local wine and lovely food - the best we ate out whilst staying just outside centro San Teodoro.
We visited twice during what was most probably the final week of high season in San Teodoro and Sardinia - the bar was mostly quiet and peaceful, though we did enjoy dinner on our second evening there, surrounded by plenty of other diners enjoying themselves - making for a lovely atmosphere to end our holiday. The staff, like so many in Sardinia spoke very broken English but we managed fine enjoying delicious local Prawns and Pork whilst sinking two bottles of the recommend, accompanying crisp white
Definitely worth a visit for a pleasant evening! My only criticism - despite displaying the 'WiFi Zone' sticker on its window and on their card, when I asked for the passcode, this was...
