Felt completely scammed despite the nice view and friendly staff
We came here as a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and while the view was lovely and the staff seemed friendly, our experience quickly turned sour.
Because we were a large group, we were given a handwritten menu without any prices. When we asked about prices, our questions were brushed aside — we were told it was a “special menu.” What we didn’t realise at the time was that this menu apparently included only the most expensive items.
I asked for the house wine, which in most restaurants in the area costs around €13 per litre. They didn’t mention that they didn’t have house wine — instead, we were brought a 1.5-litre bottle that we later discovered on the bill for €100.
When we questioned the bill and explained that we felt misled, the staff became defensive and even threatened to call the police rather than discuss the issue. They refused to adjust anything.
It’s a shame, because the setting could have made for a great evening, but the lack of transparency and the way we were treated left us feeling completely taken advantage of. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place — there are plenty of honest restaurants in San Teodoro that won’t leave you...

It was awful. There is not one good feature of this venue.
Service - slow, RUDE, arrogant, and that’s just the bald headed, overweight server.
The food - we thought the experience couldn’t be worse that the service, but it was. The seafood was spoiled, and rather than dealing with it well the above, bald, large waiter decided to make a scene and try to shame us.
He insinuated we were American and didn’t understand food. Well, as an Australian that eats seafood regularly let me tell you, lobster shouldn’t be bitter, should not smell rancid, and certainly shouldn’t have its claws disintegrating in your hands. Tonight was a first for me, seafood so bad I couldn’t give it to my dog, but secondly the only time a waiter had disagreed, smelled the product, was about to take a bite and the declined, yet said it was totally fine to eat.
The first time Iv ever got up mid way through a meal, paid but not eaten the food.
This place is terrible.
If you want tourist trap food, with a side of abuse then it’s for you. If you don’t want to be...
Read moreDon’t go here. I don’t normally write reviews or send food back but it was not worth it. All our other meals in town were good. They upsold us on a group steak filet that was just a tough porterhouse with bone. Worst steak I have had. I complained multiple times and the servers wanted to accommodate but the female manager at the front Alessandro was not budging or willing to do anything. The suckling pig was also dry. Menus didn’t match what came out.
Response to managements reply: yes we threatened to leave reviews on our poor experience so people do not have to experience the same thing.
We mentioned our dissatisfaction with the steak 3 different times. When it first came out, in the middle of it, and at the end. We brought it up to three servers. The plates were not empty and we have pictures of the fatty tough meat. The amount of 1 star reviews speak to this experience. We are not alone in our thoughts on this .
A $20 discount was applied to our $500 bill after much arguing. The waiter offered to cover the price of the steak and the manager said no do...
