Trattoria Corrado — Restaurant in Sarzana

Amazing seafood with great value for money.

Went here as part of a loud group (sorry about it). Arrived without a reservation (probably a miscommunication) and they still found and set the table up for us.

We ordered a menu for €38 each, and they served several appetisers (all fish-based), two types of pastas with generous portions (spaghetti allo scoglio e maltagliati), grilled & fried fish (again very generous portions). Some in the group also ordered dessert and digestive drinks, plus copious amount of white wine. The value for money is outstanding, especially considering the quality of the food and how large the portions were.

The quality of the seafood was great, it felt fresh, and everything was cooked to perfection in a traditional home-like way. Not pretentious, just good, tasty traditional food. I particularly appreciated the maltagliati and the grilled seafood, that was cooked to perfection and super juicy.

The staff was very nice despite us being the last table to leave well after closure time.

Unfortunately we can't say alot about the food of da pipino. We came on a recommendation from some other tourists. The mixed antipasto we're not exactly to our liking (we barely touched the sea food salad with mayonnaise...). The main problem was, that there was a mix up with our main order but unfortunately the waiter never came back round - we tried to flag them down but they were too busy. We didn't want the correctly ordered food to get cold so we started eating our one dish. After we had finished and the waiter hadn't come back to check on us we paid and left. Oggi, 20 settembre 25, sono andata a pranzo con mio fratello da ex Pipino. Il pranzo non era di lavoro poiché era sabato. Abbiamo scelto: penne agli scampi e frittura. Il primo piatto era disgustosamente bollente, gli scampi una volta aperti erano di colore “antracite”, non ci siamo fidati a consumarli. A quel punto abbiamo chiamato la cameriera Michela la quale li ha consegnati in cucina riferendoci che erano stati pescati stamattina ed erano freschi (!) La frittura era mangiabile. Non abbiamo neppure ordinato il caffè vista l’atmosfera… caldo e forte rumore. Arriviamo alla cassa, la signora di origine straniera, ci prepara il conto:€68. Prima di pagare invito la cameriera a testimoniare circa il primo piatto. La risposta dei proprietari è:” mi dispiace “. Paghiamo poi mio fratello controlla lo scontrino, erano stati aggiunti €10. Si sono giustificati dicendo che si trattava di un errore della cameriera e non volevano restituirci il denaro! Poi quando ho detto che farò loro una recensione adeguata, hanno aperto la cassa e ci hanno restituito €10.Uscendo, ho commentato con mio fratello: “Ti fregano €10 poi fanno loro gli offesi “.Non ho fatto in tempo ad uscire che il sig. Corrado mi ha rivolto offese e minacce. Oltre ad invitarmi a non entrare più nel locale (ma questo non era necessario specificarlo) mettendomi il palmo della mano a pochi centimetri dal viso, mi ha detto che avrebbe voluto accompagnarmi all’auto a calci. Non ho risposto nulla davanti ad una furia del genere. Ma non è finita qui… Quando stiamo uscendo dal parcheggio a lato, per impedirci di uscire, si pone davanti all’auto la signora straniera. Ci vuole dire che siamo “dei morti di fame” perché abbiamo controllato il conto e riscontrato l’errore. Non ho parole…Invito gli eventuali clienti a controllare gli scontrini e spero incontrino proprietari molto...
