Osteria dei Fauni — Restaurant in Segrate

Here, even for lunch, you will be pampered. A nice experience to spend some time relaxing and enjoying the delicacies of the restaurant. The location would be a Tavern, but just take a look at the wine list to immediately understand that they have been chosen with care and passion. The staff is very kind and competent. For the choice of wines they were able to recommend a good Aglianico RAJAMAGRA from Avellino (Campania) from the Vinosia winery. A full-bodied and fragrant red wine with a sweet note, which accompanied us for lunch. The mise en place is simple, but cared for with fabric tablecloths and nice colored water glasses that are different for each one. The wine glasses were correct. Our lunch. Appetizer: we chose Foie-gras with toasted croutons. Main course: a fabulous tartare cut with a knife. All very good and prepared with high quality ingredients. It is clear that whoever runs this place loves to make their customers feel good. Adequate prices. I will definitely be back. A very nice experience...

Una delusione totale. Siamo stati in questo ristorante dove, oltre a noi, era presente solamente un’altra coppia. Al momento dell’ordine, il primo di noi ha espresso la propria scelta, e gli altri hanno alzato la mano per indicare che volevano lo stesso piatto. La proprietaria, a causa di un errore nel conteggio, ha indicato cinque piatti, ma le abbiamo subito fatto notare che eravamo in quattro. Invece di scusarsi e correggere semplicemente l’errore, ha letteralmente urlato: «Non si ordina così, ve lo chiedo io, uno per uno, e voi mi rispondete. Non fate confusione». Siamo rimasti tutti scioccati dal suo atteggiamento aggressivo e inadeguato, soprattutto perché non era la prima volta che andavamo in un ristorante e non siamo certo dei bambini a cui si deve insegnare come ordinare.

Una volta preso l’ordine, i piatti sono arrivati in momenti diversi, cosa ingiustificabile dato che il locale era mezzo vuoto. La delusione totale, però, è arrivata con la qualità del cibo: a nessuno di noi sono piaciuti i piatti. Abbiamo speso circa 80 euro a persona per essere maltrattati e mangiare veramente male, con porzioni davvero ridotte. Consiglio vivamente al proprietario di riflettere seriamente su come trattare i propri clienti, che vengono a spendere i loro soldi...

The host (who is also the chef) and hostess are very welcoming and kind. The food was delicious. I had a beef sausage tartare that was flavorful, followed by seared scallops that were delicate and perfectly cooked. For dessert I had a brownie with ice cream.
