Last Tango Ristorante Grill — Restaurant in Sestriere

I would leave 1 star for service. Strudel advertised as hot was served cold because”well, my colleague forgot to heat it up”. We were specifically ordered where the children should be sat at the table as the owner was trying to make sure they didn’t sit together but separated by adults (?!). Grissini were only one per adult and none for the children. Small basket of bread for 8 people at the table - same as for a table of 2. Kids menu included chicken cutlet or wiener schnitzel. We all chose schnitzel to be served chicken, not pork! Trying to be fancy, the waiter takes away your wine bottle every time they fill your glass. That wouldn’t be bad in itself if not that they spill it EVERY single time they top up your drink. I have to say steak was superb and so was risotto (the only reason for 2 stars) but each side was €6 and it was a tiny handful of potatoes or the smallest pot of red cabbage which was not impressive at all. Overall, a very strange experience. Would not recommend as is but restaurant has a great potential if only the owner changed his attitude and was a little more generous considering this is a ££ aspiring to £££ range. REMEMBER: if you want fondue, raclette or even tartiflette you have to order a day...

Good food, awful service. Me and my friends came on a busy evening and this restaurant couldn't handle that pressure. After giving the waiter (probably an owner) an order, which was taken quite impolitely, we were not served right: entry dishes we served with main courses, but not for everyone. Those who did not get their order directly had to wait for more than an hour. The best is yet to come! When the steaks were served, they were anything but my friends ordered in terms of preparation: medium were rare and so on. The side dishes were confused: instead of MASHED PATATOES we received spinach and after boiled patatoes... Steaks with salt selection were served without salt selection. FINALLY YET IMPORTANTLY, after complaining that same waiter did not admit any of this confusion literally saying "it was a very complicated order, I did not get such order in 10 years" referring to the fact we ordered different drinks!!! For me and my friends this was indeed the last Tango with this restaurant. I DO NOT...

We booked as the menu selection was good. We booked for 4 adults and 4 kids. When we arrived the owner was standing outside and instead of greeting he said it was booked for 8 adults not Childrens. Not sure what the problem was. He went in and after a while he called us to be seated and he pointed where the kids should sit. It was very rude and unwelcoming. The bread sticks were stale, only brought us 5 pieces of bread - it was 8 of us. The steak was good but the sides were very small. When we asked for horseradish we were brought a jar which goes to every table and everyone uses it’s own fork to get it out- so unhygienic, specially during Covid pandemic! The owner is very pushy and don’t be fooled when you look on the website menu as it looks great with fondue etc but on the day we found out that you be need to book one day in advance! All in all I would not recommend the restaurant as it was not pleasure to be there. The owner needs to change...
