Let me preface by saying it takes A LOT for me to write a negative review. I don’t usually think it’s worth my time and the restaurant business is hard! But our experience was so horrible, others need to be forewarned.
It started out ok. We arrived at 7:40, shortly after dinner began. We were seated right away with our toddler in tow. Unfortunately, it went down hill from there.
They were out of the wine we ordered and the waitress tried to sell us a more expensive bottle of wine. We then ordered the house wine - which was not very good.
They forgot to bring us water until very late into the meal - only after we requested a few times. We were willing to be patient, brushed it off and continued to look forward to our meals.
They continued to wait on other patrons who arrived after us - meanwhile we waited until about 45min into our seating to finally be waited on for our order. This is not easy with a toddler.
They finally took our order and proceeded to mess it up entirely. They brought out the wrong dish for me, finally correcting it after another 15-20 minutes. It was a pasta dish with mushrooms and not very tasty. Bland and uninteresting.
We ordered 2 appetizers which were ok, but nothing to write home about. My husband didn’t eat too much as he was saving himself for the mixed grill plate. He was so excited!
Well... after TWO HOURS - They NEVER brought out my husbands dish. We asked about it and they COMPLETELY forgot. TWO HOURS later - hubby went home without having an entree. When we told them as we were checking out, they “suddenly” didn’t speak English.
Please avoid this place at all costs! Unless you are Italian or happen to be part of a large party which clearly take priority. Worse dining experience - probably anywhere in the world -we’ve ever had. Such a...
Read moreWe stopped for lunch whilst travelling. This was the first restaurant we passed, and it looked nice at first glance. On entering, there were a few large groups, and the sight of the flames from the open grill enthused us. The menu was extensive(too extensive) and was not a cheap lunch option, but that did not concern us as we were on holiday. The young waiter looked and was disinterested. His manner and shabby dishevelled appearance was carried over to his service. The food could only be described as grey and disappointing, on top of which, because of the service arrived, it was tepid to the table. The wine was good but did little to atone. The restaurant inside looked like it had once been a great venue and outside was littered with abandoned tables , chairs, and other junk. We did point these things out to the minehost with the big hat , who explained it was difficult to get staff, (train and supervise the ones you have) and assured us that things would be better on our next visit, that won't...
