Bar Ristorante Tschurwald - Tarvisio — Restaurant in Tarvisio

This was our second time in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I have no recollection of the first experience, but since there was still a star pin on it I thought it wouldn't disappoint us. This time we took two friends with us and the overall consensus on the quality of food and service was positive. Our visit was on a weekday evening. Tarvisio was empty enough that day, so it was not a surprise to find the place serving only a couple of locals. I think the first time we were directed to a table in a corner because it was quite crowded inside. Anyways, this way the food arrived quickly. After the mix cold cuts, including a few little vegetable touches, which made us all very happy with the amount and taste, I chose to go with fish ravioli. In the meantime tasted a Friulane Pizza, Mushroom Tagliatelle, and if I'm not mistaken a deer stew from the others. The beer is also good, we went directly for the integrale, but I like that they also have a Radler in the menu, which is a priority for one of our friends. I do wish to be frequenting Tarvisio as much as possible during my stay in Italy, so I think Tschurwald will always be there on the map...

I love this place right at the mainstreet Via Roma. It doesn't look to impressive at first but the food is great. My favorite here, surprise, surprise, pasta. The last time I had pasta frutti di mare which was nothing short of perfect. The staff is friendly and fast.

There is also a nice garden in the backyard for outdoor eating under trees but I prefer the view on...

We went in for dinner at around 18:00 and every table was reserved. The hostess made a great effort to seat my family and I and we had a table within minutes of entering thanks to her.

The food was amazing and tasted like home. We ordered the Venison and Polenta, Frico, Schnitzel and Margherita pizza. All came to the table perfectly cooked...
