As my now husband and I sit back and reflect over our amazing wedding weekend in Tuscany, our thoughts Spring immediately to the catering and food. We felt so lucky to have found I Vecchi Amici. Fabio and Daniele are two incredible people and caterers. Fabio organises events and Daniele is the chef. When we first met them, we knew that we would get on brilliantly. Then we tasted their food and wow, it blew our minds! Matt, my then fiancé, who is also a foodie, enjoyed every single thing he tried. We walked out of their restaurant knowing these would be our guys for the big day. Their communication with us was excellent, attention to detail was second to none, and they really went above and beyond even before the event to make sure we were happy. We met a couple of evenings before the wedding to go through the details. I felt very happy and in safe hands. On the day, they were even better than we had anticipated. The service was excellent, with incredible staff. We went for a buffet style meal with Daniele cooking some of the aperitifs canapés and the pastas in front of the guests, which added to the experience. He was fantastic. A truly talented chef, always smiling and happy. After the wedding virtually every single guest commented how great the food was and named their favourite dish. We highly recommend their fried vegetables, any of their pastas ( although every single guest was blown away by the cinta cinese ravioli) and the pork with apple sauce... I am a vegan and I can honestly say I loved all that they cooked for all our vegan guests, and we had quite a few. My mum can't have salt and they even prepared special food for her too. They were very respectful of the venue, and nothing was too much for them. We honestly couldn't recommend Vecchi Amici enough - it's true what people say, a great wedding is very often down to food, and well, the overall feedback was that our wedding was incredible, thanks to the food! Let me just start with the fact that no words can describe how delicious the food was and how impressed we are with Ilaria. She was so enthusiastic and passionate about Italian food and ensuring we received true authentic Italian service throughout our wedding menu tasting.

We have not long left your restaurant and we were dying to tell you how much we loved it! Claudia couldn’t recommend you highly enough and now we know exactly why. Your dishes are outstanding - so beautifully presented but yet the taste still manages to blow our minds! You have put so much thought into your dishes and staff alike so that couples genuinely believe that you care as much about their wedding as they do. This is truly a service that is difficult to find and we are beyond blessed to have been directed towards you by Claudia!

We have a beautiful restaurant at home that we continue to go back to (aside from that fact that the food is outstanding) for the service of a particular waitress. Ilaria is our Italian version of this service! She made us feel so comfortable and at home in your beautiful restaurant. She described every dish as if she made it herself - true passion! She catered for Luke being lactose intolerant (although I loved the fact that I got extra cheese) and it was not a bother at all. We loved every single dish and now we have the incredibly difficult decision to narrow it down to the menu courses.

We truly cannot wait for our guests to be blown away by your delicious, authentic Italian food! We know that it will truly be a meal that people will continue to talk about in years to come. We asked Ilaria if it would be possible for her to be at our wedding catering also - we hope this is possible as she is a genuine tribute to the care and passion you have designed Vecchi Amici around!

He repeated this exceptional experience for my husband and me when we visited Italy for planning six months later.

We chose I Vecchi Amici for both our welcome Pizza Night and our wedding dinner, and the food was nothing short of spectacular. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of the dishes, as well as the warmth and friendliness of Fabio and the wait staff.
