Fish-based dishes takeaway or self service — Restaurant in Tortolì

The Corporation Pescatori sale has moved from the location of production near to the beach to the porto of touristico (habour - where the ferry goes to mainland). If you go to the location of production you will only find an Restaurant with typical menu you can find everywhere when going to an restaurant chioscodiponente.it/menu

But if you go to the new place you will find fantastic food on simple plastic dishes, tables and chairs. From loobster, gambas, clamari, sardina, red snapper, and and and...also to take away !!!

It's really a pitty that the location of production is only the mainstream restaurant anymore, because there is a touristic path through the fish farm you can take. But if you like you can go there to take the tour and eat normal sea food dishes like everywhere or go to the new place at...

Not a fancy place but absolutely outstanding food made with the freshest seafood. One of (if not THE) best moscardini alla diavola (small octopus in slightly spicy tomatoe sauce) and excellent fried calamari. Choose a plate of any of the items from the cold or hot counter of prepared fish dishes or order your pasta, and/or fried or grilled seafood to order. You really really cannot beat the freshness and the preparation. Highly recommended if you want to do like the locals: in fact we got the recommendation from someone born in Tortoli. Best choice after a morning at the beach (worth the drive from Spiaggia di Lido di Orri). The seating is obviously no frills, parking is aplenty and make sure you take a good nap later as you are bound to over-order given that you will see all those awesome...

I’m sorry, but this place is just massively overrated. Interesting concept and I also like the idea of having daily catched fish freshly served. But the whole experience was not nice. We waited more than 2 hours in the queue to get cold octopus, mussels and shellfish. We asked if the food would be hot as it was sitting already some time in the counter and they said yes, but it wasn’t. Freshly made calamari fritti was good but not as good as you would expect from the long waiting time. Everything was served in plastic which I just don’t understand.
