Terrible service and mediocre food. Would not recommend.
We had confirmed reservations with the restaurant in writing for 7pm, which is when they open. We showed up 5 mins early- we were the only people there and were immediately told that if we didn’t have a reservation they were fully booked and wouldn’t accommodate us. When I showed them the written reservation confirmation- there seemed to be a huge fight between the staff about it. Loud and extremely unprofessional behaviour in-front of guests. We were seated by Penelope who then went off to set up the remaining tables and left us with no menu. We were the ONLY guests there. There was literally NO ONE else. We were ignored for a good 10 mins before we were finally given our menus. We ordered two courses (first and second) from a menu with no prices on them. The food arrived almost instantaneously and all at once, both courses. I have never eaten at a restaurant where both courses were served at the same time. While we ate our first course, flies gathered around our second course. Wasps joined the flies which added to our unpleasant dining experience. Still, there were no other guests at the restaurant. At around 7:45 the first couple of guests trickled in. We noticed these guests were given bread while they waited for their food- this was not offered to us. The other guests were also served their first course without their second course all brought out together. It was obvious that they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. I asked Ricardo to please address the wasp issue and he offered me bug spray- to spray the wasps myself. As a guest I would expect the staff to take care of this. We then moved inside to protect ourselves from the wasps and asked for the bill. We were brought the bill (which was not a small amount) and then told that they could not accept card as their card machine had not been working since yesterday. AFTER THE MEAL. If they had known about the card machine not working since yesterday, why didn’t they tell us before we started ordering the food?? We were €5 short of covering the bill with the cash we had - which Ricardo said was not an issue and we left. I did not feel welcomed as a guest at the restaurant and their service was appalling given that there were several tables still empty when we left. In fact the table we were sat on wasn’t expecting anyone till 9:30 pm as per the note attached to the table. If they are incapable of serving dinner within 2.5 hrs- then that’s a sign that they are not capable of running a restaurant. Extremely unwelcoming staff and very...
Read moreWe came for a dinner at 18:30. Regarding google restaurant opens at 18. A young man arrogantly looked at us and asked, if we want to eat pizza. We said no. He asked us to wait half an hour as the restaurant opens at 19. We came at 19 and sat at a free table. A woman came and asked if we reservede (70% of tables were free). We were allowed to have a dinner without reservation. Lol.
To the food: as an aperitivo we ordered "interpretation of tacos with herring filet" to share. On a plate arrived 4 "tacos": squares of thin bread you get here in Sardegna that you get on no cost in any restaurant as an appetizer with orher bread. On this squares of bread were some fresh fish slices. Maybe in total 15 gram or so. On a plate were some spreads of kind of mayonnaise that made it all eatable. There were 2 bites of food for each of us for 19€ in total.
For main dish I ordered tuna steak with zucchini sauce and flowers for 22 euro . On a plate were 5-6 little tuna slices on green blobs. I think it was around 70 gram total. Tuna was over salted and smelled like cheese! I returned the plate. Waitress looked strangely like i was the first person who didn't like it. What i can't imagine. I ate lots of tuna steaks in different parts of the world. Fish of my partner was too salty and too chewy not like fresh fish of the day.
We payed 4€ caperto per person.
In total this restaurant makes "interpretation of food". High cuisine is not about little portions, plate arrangements and arrogant service - it is about...
Read moreWe went for dinner on Tuesday evening. The location is just beautiful, in front you'll find an amazing garden with tables for dine and also some others for have a cocktail and chill. The restaurant inside is modern with typical items of Sardinia, very well-finished really. The kitchen is open, so you can spend some time and watch the chefs bringing their art on the plate. The wine list is very interesting and we had an Aromatic Vermentino recommended by Isabella. The menu is not huge (thank you for this) so all the ingredients are fresh, full of taste and amazing. We had a pulpo salad (I've never had a pulpo so fresh and well cooked like this before) with lime and cherry tomatoes, charcuterie board with typical selection of Sardinian cheese, pappardelle with pulpo, maloreddusu with bottarga cheese and clams, for dessert a selection of regional pastries. The portions are really generous and the quality is very high for the price you pay, including a very good service. This family owned restaurant was a great surprise for us, such a gorgeous place! Thank you for doing a great job guys, I highly...
