Pier is likely the best kept secret in Trieste.

A gem hidden in plain sight in the heart of Trieste, it's uniquely positioned to offer a quiet space where one can enjoy a beautiful marina and admire sunsets on the gulf of Trieste with beautiful Miramare Castle in the background.

Its position is unbeatable as it keeps away the noises of the city while being 2 mins walk from the one of the main roads in the city and just a couple more minutes from one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.

The staff is incredible. We called them to organize a very important family celebration coming from abroad and from the very first moment we have found the most approachable, energetic and supportive people.

That was confirmed when we got to actually test the place before committing to book it for the party.

We were greeted with care, cheerfulness and, of course, delicious food.

I loved everything I ate there and so did the people who joined us for "the test".

Pasta alla busara was incredibly tasty.

The mixed fried fish felt very light.

The carpaccio was a revelation.

The scallops (one of my all time favorites) were among the best I have ever had. A particular recipe that I have kept chasing for many many years and have finally found here.

Can't wait to go back for "the real thing" later this year. It will be the perfect place for our...

I have been here before got the same experience. Service is terrible, they are rude and arrogant. Its such a lovely place in marina , beautiful view and good food. Bravo to the chefs but the service destroys the mood. I have been polite and patient as i understood they were busy but the waiters kept ignoring me the whole time, never brought me the menu even though there were the ones to advise me where to sit. I asked from one of the waiter to bring me a drink and never came, probably never placed the order. I am a young woman working also in hospitality and what i have seen is very unprofessional. Just be nice and talk to people, everyone wants just to enjoy their moments and in hospitality we are the ones to assist people achieve that. If you not happy with what you doing, find something else but dont ruin the day of other people just because you have personal problems and cant manage your emotions. Who ever is the owner needs to...

Although the view and ambiance was extremely beautiful, we were shocked by the way the waitress treated us. At first she seated us in the back corner (even though all the other tables were empty). After waiting for twenty minutes to come back and serve us, we asked for the menu and the waitress looked directly at me and said no. She just told us she would serve us Aperol or coffee. In the end we were asked to pay inside at the bar, even though we save other customers payed at there table and she wouldn’t make eye contact with me while exchanging the bill and cash. She just showed us off with a disrespectful handwave.

I was so disappointed in the service because a friend recommended the place for it‘s view and the location in general but the treatment they gave us Kind overshadowed everything else (including the drinks, which were...

The location is great, drinks reasonably priced. I think the food pricing isn’t great. I enjoyed the location and I ordered the catch of the day. The quality of fish wasn’t great, but I ate most of it anyway. This was the only thing I ate during the entire day. I would recommend the restaurant look at how the fish is being stored or prepared as several hours later I started to feel incredibly unwell. This developed into what is clearly food poisoning and I have spent the rest of my trip in my hotel suffering from the various unpleasant symptoms of that and not been able to enjoy the rest of my time in the city. So I would recommend for drinks and a view, but I would recommend not ordering the catch of the day, or perhaps any of the food as I’m not sure what caused the issue.

It is a really cute place with a nice view. We had a gin cocktail and a whiskey cocktail which were really good bit the snacks we ordered were unexpectedly embarrasing. We ordered bruschetti and got just a few tiny plain white pieces of toast with pâte which shouldn't even be called bruschetti. Fries were good but also with the tiniest amount of ketchup with it which is clearly not enough, barely for 3 pieces. And of course those poor snacks were very overpriced, so that I would not recommend. I would come back there but I hope they will change this and offer better food that fits that place.
