Spiller — Restaurant in Trieste

"Spiller" is a chain of Pub/Restaurants with a great selection of beers (Forst/Menabrea mainly) and a very wide option of food items.

The one in Trieste is located in front of the harbour at only 5 min walking distance from the main square.

It offers local traditional food, burgers, pizza, salads, pastas etc. It is a place that you can go with a big group, and where everyone will find something suitable for own tastes.

The food quality is good, pizzas are ok, portion are big.

Service wise, everyone is polite. Young, and maybe quite new to their job, they were all professional and very nice towards us and also other customers. They did serve quite fast our order.

Atmosphere is really "warm", with a lot of wood and copper colour like furniture. It's a wide open space with many tables.

Nice ambiance and pizza and pizza. If you are not Italian and do not want to eat a lot of pizza, go for the pizza metro which is in my opinion way better. The normal pizza is too big for me and found pizza metro to suit me better.

If you like spicy pizza, go for Diavola or Caprichiosa - this are my favorites, but if not there are many options. Do not forget to pair the pizza with beer.

The price are fair. Went a few times and spent less than 10 euros ( all depends on how much you eat)..

LOCATION: 7,5 il ristorante si trova sulle rive della città di Trieste, ma non ha a disposizione molti coperti all'esterno. La sala all'interno é invece molto ampia e arredata secondo uno stile da pub/birreria, é curato e pulito. A pranzo ci troverete una forte affluenza di studenti in quanto il locale é convenzionato con l'Università degli Studi di Trieste. MENÙ: 7,5 io ho sempre frequentato il locale in pausa pranzo dall'ufficio approfittando dei menù a prezzo fisso proposti agli universitari. Il cibo é buono, anche se nulla di eccezionale. La pizza invece, per quanto il locale non punti proprio sul reparto pizzeria, é molto buona, croccante e saporito l'impasto e ben condita. La proposta del menù alla carta sembra comunque piuttosto ampia, e se non ricordo male offriva dagli antipasti ai primi, dai secondi alle pizze. SERVIZIO: 8 al tempo in cui frequentavo il locale ricordo un gran numero di belle cameriere; in particolare la ragazza che stava alla cassa, con un particolare che sapeva attirare l'attenzione mia e del mio amico commensale. In ogni caso tutti i ragazzi dello staff sonno molto gentili e disponibili.
