For me this is THE BEST and proper neapolitan pizza you can get in Trieste and around, I highly recommend👌 Soft crust, rarely any burnt while well done, not dry, enough tomato sauce and not too much cheese, so it's not heavy on stomach. I only always ask without grana, since for me this would ruin any pizza. You don't have to wait long for food to come out and the servers are always kind! It is possible to communicate in English.
Coperto, which seems to be a practice everywhere there and sometimes fine print, is 1€ at lunch and 2.50€ at dinner, weekend or holidays. I have to applaud for having actual good knives, too! Bathroom is always clean. Near are many parking options!
They have vegan cheese as well👌but I haven't tried it yet. It costs 1€ more. I'm not certain about GF options tho. They do have easily accessible menu with prices online, so you can look it all up and no surprises.
I am only displeased with the lunch opening time being too short! After coming a couple of times nobody told me about loyalty program, which is a...
Read moreThe food itself was actually very good — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect from an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined by the absolutely terrible service.
The man serving us — a big, bald guy with a beard — was one of the rudest waiters I’ve ever encountered. He was dismissive, impatient, and seemed to go out of his way to make us feel unwelcome. Simple questions were met with eye-rolls and attitude, and his whole demeanor gave the impression that he couldn’t care less about the me dispute the reason he had this attitude with me is due to the fact of correcting him on our order which was 6 euro over price and asking for my phone charger back as it was on charge
It’s a real shame, because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but when the service is this unprofessional, it overshadows everything else. No matter how good the food is, I won’t be returning — dining out should be an enjoyable experience, not an exercise in tolerating...
Read moreWe had a reservation for 8 p.m. At that time, the restaurant was not very busy. Nevertheless, it took 15 minutes for the waiter to take our drink orders and another 15 minutes for the drinks to be served. We also wanted to order tap water with our drinks, which is common in Italy. It was a very hot day. The waiter explained that this was not possible because they have a contract with the water company Pellegrino that prohibits it and there is no water tap at the bar. Overall, the waiter was not particularly friendly or courteous. The drinks in the restaurant are expensive and the "coperto" is not commensurate with the service. The pizzas are good, but rather small, and we had to wait another half hour for our food. Since our daughter wanted to eat something other than pizza, we ordered sausages with potatoes for €12. This dish was pretty disappointing: two Frankfurters cut in half and grilled, served with a potato cut into thin slices with a lot of fat. The evening was expensive and...
