Plastic waste galore... I was in a large group, some of which wanted sparkling and still mineral water and they ordered 3 litres. I was very surprised to find it delivered in a long row of half litre plastic bottles. I mentioned this to the waiter and he simply replied that he wasn't the boss and it wasn't his decision. Unimpressed with the environmental ethics when so many other places are switching to filtered water or refillable bottles (I usually get tap water, it is so good in Trieste!). They offer home-cooked-style dishes — nothing extravagant, but honest, fresh, and authentic. We enjoyed a creamy risotto that was technically perfect and paired it with the house white wine, we couldn't find the answer about variety 🙂. Our best guess is a cuvée with a hint of Moscato.
The service was also good; despite the fact that there was only one person handling it, they managed everything we need efficiently without any noticeable lapses.

I ordered the mixed cold fish starter at 13 euros(they have not seen what other restaurants are offering like Da Angelina, copy them if you can!) the plate had a terrible selection of fish, very poor in taste unfortunately. As of first course I had: spaghetti with Canestrelli, and again it was not promising one again. Try going to AL SALVAGENTE and see the difference.
