Mamm Ciclofocacceria — Restaurant in Udine

When I got there there was only one barista doing several tasks at the same time (Pulling espresso shots, catering to customers' requests, checking-out). For this reason service was quite slow so if u r in a hurry do not choose this spot. No table service provided. So u have to grab your order once ready (coffee does not come wh a spoon so u have to wonder where to find one which turns to be a wooden stick in the end). Once u r done, you are expected to dispose the wrapping paper, the paper glasses, the "spoons" and whatever comes wh your order in the appropriate bins. Overpriced considering tables...

Ieri sera abbiamo acquistato una magic box da Mamm. Arrivati nel negozio abbiamo seguito la coda ed atteso il nostro turno. Quando è arrivato il nostro momento abbiamo immediatamente fatto presente che dovevamo ritirare una magic box e che volevamo anche acquistare alcuni pezzi di focaccia. Ci viene detto che “ehhh le operazioni vengono gestite separatamente” e veniamo parcheggiati senza ulteriori spiegazioni. Dopo un po’, vedendo che venivano servite le persone che arano arrivate dopo di noi, chiedevamo se avremmo dovuto rifare la fila. La ragazza ci dice “eh beh, sì… non sarebbe molto corretto passare avanti agli altri” e nuovamente veniamo abbandonati accanto alla cassa. Noi rimaniamo sgomenti. Siamo arrivati, abbiamo fatto la coda attendendo di essere serviti. Evidentemente, in questo locale, ci sono clienti di seria A e clienti di serie B (quelli che prendono le too good to go). Ce ne siamo andati, con la voglia di lasciare la too food to go. Arrivati a casa abbiamo ordinato una pizza da Assaje. Non torneremo più in questo locale classista che cerca di far sentire il cliente inadeguato e non spiega nemmeno il perché di queste scelte operative, assolutamente scriteriate. Abbiamo seguito le regole e se avessi detto prima che dovevo acquistare dei tranci, e solo dopo che dovevo ritirare la magic box, non ci sarebbero stati problemi! O forse mi avrebbero detto che ero starà scorretta?!?!...

Best ingredients in town. A bit of madness and a lot of friendliness, all topped up with local beers, and regional Italian specialties. A great place where to take a fast lunch, or a snack. Mainly small tables, both inside and outside, but if you ask, you can put a couple together for a bigger group. Still I would not suggest it for a formal work dinner. For everything...
