Il Ristorantino23 - Lido di Camaiore — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

We were expecting a restaurant with seafood, but most of the menu is rather appetizers or smaller portions (see photos), even if they are main dishes. They didn't have fish on the menu. We ended up ordering a mix of fish salami (interesting idea) and gnocchi and shrimp. In terms of taste, it was slightly below average (compared to the surroundings), at slightly higher prices. The food is visually prepared to the perfection, truly pleasing to the eye. We were looking forward to the advertised fish soup, but unfortunately it was no longer available, even though it was shortly after opening at 1330). The staff (or the owner, BTW very polite and nice) were always nearby and willing to help with anything, it is bit pity that he didn't speak much English. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were absolutely delighted with the experience. Fantastic food, prepared with care and attention to detail.

The menu is not the standard seafood fare but a super interesting take on fish with quality ingredients. Attentive service by a very friendly host who accommodated our requests and gave great recommendations along with explanations about the cuisine and ingredients used.

Il Ristorantino è stata senza dubbio la scoperta migliore di quest’estate a Lido di Camaiore (e lo dice chi ci viene davvero da una vita). Federica e Massimiliano meritano prima di tutto una menzione speciale per essere due persone speciali, gentili, accoglienti e vere, con cui è piacevole anche solo passare la sera a chiacchierare. La cucina è straordinaria, letteralmente fuori dal comune, un delizioso diversivo rispetto al resto: salumi di mare ma anche pucce e pinse elaborate in maniera originale con risultati tanto squisiti quanto delicati. Ogni piatto è un’esplosione unica di sapori, dove si distinguono davvero tutti, ricercati e studiati da chi questo mestiere lo fa davvero con passione e dedizione (e di professionisti così non ce ne sono mai abbastanza). Ci siamo tornati tante volte per provare le varie proposte del menù, una più buona dell’altra, non saprei proprio scegliere quale sia la mia preferita ma consiglio in particolare il tortino di alici e la calamarata (ma in realtà, fidatevi: tutto il menù merita di essere esplorato e gustato), e cosa dire delle verdure sott’olio, mai assaggiate di così buone. La cosa sicura è che nel cuore resteranno sempre Il Ristorantino e la sua stupenda famiglia, ci portiamo i ricordi, i sorrisi e i sapori nel cuore fino a Milano, in attesa di vederci ancora presto.
