DA ARISTO — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni Media Valle del Serchio

I’ve been in this restaurant with my mother a few days ago (we’re both Italians but I’ve decided to write in english because I know that this comment will be read mostly by tourists), and despite the meals were pretty good and we spent such a short amount of money, unfortunately I can’t rate the place with 5 stars because we were annoyed by the chef (Giovanni) from the beginning to the end of our lunch. Premising that I’m only 17 and I was accompanied by my mother, Giovanni didn’t spare himself in doing flirty comments, which were very inappropriate for his age (he’s in his 70s). He sat to our table during the whole lunch (from 2pm to 4pm) despite he had NOT been invited and he continued to do appreciations which made me feel very uncomfortable (he asked my age and if I had a boyfriend, and he stared at my body in a creepy way the entire time). If you find yourself in the beautiful town of Barga, be sure to go to this gem of a Osteria.
