Such a shame. We have been holidaying in this area for 25 years and always held Forcillos in very high regard. It used to be exceptional. Sadly though the standard has dropped drastically. The truffle Pizzette starter used to be a wood fired/home made base with the most delicate of delicious real truffle oil…now its just a shop-bought base with a jar full of ‘truffle’ sauce doused thickly on. Practically inedible. The pasta not grea either and the cheese sauce made with FLOUR…a roux…can taste it! The roast pork tasted practically microwaved. Honestly….SO disappointing. The menu, admittedly, is cheaper than before and the young rowdy crowd did not seem to care about the food quality. But oh….how we miss the old days when standards were high. Also the waiter was extremely strange…and whilst being over polite, and laboriously ‘attentive’ was at the same time totally...
Read moreWe ate here in the past and this month we ate there twice. The owner is very arrogant and unfriendly and he treats his hard working staff like serfs. He hardly lifts a finger himself and is not capable of leading. There is a permanent waitress who runs around to serve every customer well, the first evening she was 'assisted' by two children of about 10 years old who were also barked at by the owner. The second evening the waitress was alone to serve about 30 covers. Since we understand and speak Italian we heard the owner making inappropriate comments about a table with 8 tourists who nevertheless behaved correctly. We have experience in the catering industry so we noticed the misbehavior of the owner the first evening and the second evening we found that this was the regular modus operandi...

So 1 night here is perfect, then travel on to next town, access a great via train, and also roads are so easy if you're driving. ||My only negative regarding this place is the noise, we had an early start so we headed to our room at 10pm and it could of been a hotel in the middle of magaluf, (which have experienced) however in the morning we were greeted with cappuccino and fresh baked breakfast cake. This helped the sleepless night...
