Cascina degli Ulivi — Restaurant in Valderice

We saw this restaurant online and saw it had good "star" reviews but we couldn't have been more disappointed. It took them at least 30 minutes to come and take our order and then another 75 minutes for the food to arrive (which was only because we got the attention of a waitress and she chased it up for us).

Once it arrived, we couldn't eat much. The potatoes and tomatoes were in a puddle of liquid at the bottom of the bowl, the pizza dough was burnt to a crisp around the edges but the middle uncooked. Not once did anyone come and check on us.

We got a lot of rude looks from other guests, maybe because we weren't locals or Italian but we didn't feel very...

What a joke of a restaurant. Do not go here if you are hungry. We as a family of 4 were made to wait 30 minutes after being seated to our table for our order to be taken. When we could see other tables having their orders taken, even though they had been seated after us. It wasn't until I asked a waitress if we had to order at the bar, that she then came and took our

order. But then it took another hour and a half for our food to come. The staff didn't seem bothered at all. You'd be better of going down the road to dapeppe pizza 🍕 and you'll also get a better view and much...

La pizza peggiore che abbia mai mangiato!!!! Convinti dalle recensioni positive abbiamo prenotato alla cascina degli ulivi per le 21.00, eravamo in cinque, tra cui un bambino. Ci accomodiamo al tavolo in questo carino e caratteristico cortile. Da premettere che era un giorno di settimana e il locale aveva 5 tavoli occupati per cui per metà era vuoto... Ore 21.10 abbiamo ordinato le pizze, la ragazza così gentile ha preso gli ordini che abbiamo ripetuto insieme a lei per essere sicuri che aveva segnato tutto correttamente. Dopo di che abbiamo visto uscire una pizza alla volta per gli altri tavoli che avevano già finito gli antipasti, così per 40 e interminabili minuti. Finalmente arriva la prima pizza, se così si può definire, a seguire sempre una alla volta sono arrivate 4 pizze, la quinta pizza arriva di dimensioni e gusto sbagliato. Abbiamo fatto presente la cosa e la ragazza gentilmente ha risposto che l'ordine era giusto.... dato che non lo era, si scusano e rimandano indietro la pizza dicendo che la rifacendo subito.... 30 minuti dopo, nel frattempo 4 avevano già finito ( causa fame) arriva la quinta pizza. Le pizze arrivate erano vergognose, peggio delle suole delle scarpe, mancavano gli ingredienti indicati, la spek senza il gorgonzola indicato sul menù e con funghi amari e di pessimaqualità, le Napoli senza acciughe, tutte insapore ma ricoperte di mozzarella. Disgustati abbiamo pagato il conto e la signorina con il sorriso ha chiesto anche com'era andata.... siamo andati via scontenti e non torneremo mai...
